Rude staff. Showed up on time and was told I was late and they would probably have to reschedule because apparently 10 minutes early is “on time” to fill out paperwork. Also was referred by another dentist specifically for a deep cleaning, but was told that the visit that we had waited months on for a deep cleaning was actually just a consultation and that we would have to make another appointment for a cleaning. Seems like a scam way to run a business. Hopefully Dr. Acharya gets a better staff before they put her out of business.
First, this review is not a reflection for Dr. Acharya, I did not get the chance to work with her further but really enjoyed my first consultation and was excited for my appointment, it is clear that she is a pro and came highly recommended from my normal dentist office. The rating is solely due to my experience with the scheduling coordinator for the second time. Argumentative and not helpful in any way. I was on my way to my appointment, on time, and received a message that my appointment had been cancelled. I called to explain that I had not cancelled the appointment that I had waited over 6 months for and confirmed on the prior Friday (the appointment was for the following Monday). She spoke to me as if I deserved for the appointment to be cancelled because I was busy and only glanced at their reminders when they came through the previous week. (if that is how they really feel about patients, they are in the wrong line of work) When I realized that the very end of the reminder message threatens a cancellation if you do not respond, I responded, and received no other messages and assumed all was well. My appointment was at 8:30 on a Monday. At 8:15 when I was almost there after missing work I received a message that she cancelled it. When I called, before I could even finish speaking, the coordinator was talking over me berating me with the attempts that they made, etc. I explained that I did not cancel the appointment, that I had confirmed after the last message, and that I was busy through the week when I received what obviously looked like reminders. I am sorry, the first line of your attempts say "Appointment Reminder" anyone glancing over their messages or voicemails wouldn't bother thinking otherwise. Maybe try changing your message to " REQUIRED- Reply YES to confirm your Appointment or it will be CANCELLED" Simple. Most people are also responsible enough to manage their own time and not miss their doctor and dental appointments that they planned for months to attend. The whole thing was really frustrating and unbelievable to me. If this office cares about customer service at all, I hope that they reach out to resolve what should have been a non-issue (I was literally almost there) with the next soonest appointment this year. However, my experience with this coordinator tells me that I will likely be billed for cancelling, when I did not cancel, and received no services. If that's the case, I will not be paying for their assumption of how to manage my time and appointments.
Dr. Acharya and her entire staff are very professional and great to work with. They are always on time with my appointments and I am never sitting in the waiting room more than a couple minutes. I never feel rushed and all my questions or concerns are always answered. So happy to have found them and continue my care in this amazing office.
Dr. Acharya is a real treasure! I was very nervous about getting work done on my gums in regards to gum recession and put it off for a while. Her office is clean, efficiently run, with personable staff members. The three people I interacted with were exceptional and made the visit pleasant and enjoyable! Dr. Acharya is very knowledgeable, caring, professional, and efficient. She was there when I had questions and on call. I felt more confident about my smile again after my visit, exam, and the procedure. Wonderful practice and experience!
Our experience with Dr. Acharya was extremely positive. She was incredibly understanding and patient with our son who was very nervous about his procedure. She was caring, thoughtful and did a great job explaining everything to us in a way we all could understand. She was very easy to contact and was quick to respond when we had questions before and after the procedure. She even contacted us to check on how our son was doing during his recovery period. I highly recommend this practice to anyone and we are so thankful to Dr. Acharya and the rest of the staff for such a great experience.
