Powered by GoogleLovely office and great staff with excellent chair-side manner. The vibes were great overall. Renee is one of the best hygienists and Dr. Miller was kind and helpful as well.
the hygienists are fine, if you come here for just cleanings, it's okay. they clean your teeth well and are friendly do not come here for wisdom teeth removal or anything more complex than tooth cleaning. they do not offer any kind of sedation regardless of how extreme the procedure is or what they say during scheduling or asking about it. they told me before my wisdom tooth removal that i could ask for gas to sedate me, and then found out the day of the procedure when i showed up to check in that they wouldn't use any gas at all and the dentist "wasn't trained" to use it. i only stayed after that because my wisdom teeth were causing me a lot of pain and needed to be removed urgently. in hindsight, i should've waited the extra 3 weeks to be seen somewhere competent. then there was the problems checking in. they had cancelled the appointment without telling me for no reason, blamed it on me, and then had to move someone else's appointment so i could get mine in. they somehow didn't have my insurance preauthorise the procedure before i arrived, even though they had 3 weeks between when i scheduled the procedure and the date of the procedure. they hadn't even started the process, so it wasn't my insurance that was the issue. they were trying to make me pay the full 1,500$ for their carelessness the surgery itself took over 3 hours (my case was difficult, and it was agonising without any sedation) and was from 4pm to 7:30pm. they prescribed me the antibiotics after the surgery had finished, when my pharmacy was closed, and i woke up with an infection the next day that only got worse and made me go to the ER within a day or two. they had to keep me at the hospital overnight to treat the infection and said it was an "impressive" infection for having started so soon. the oral surgeon at the hospital was appalled that they even let me get the surgery done there if they are incapable of doing sedation of any kind, but he did say at least the surgery itself was done well. the surgeon was creepy and kept calling me a "good girl" during the surgery. they also prescribed me the wrong medications. they prescibed me an antibiotic that wasn't fit for use after oral surgery (as the pharmacist told me), and a few blood pressure medications(???) as well as tylenol and ibuprofen. that's it. their care after the procedure was abysmal. i got my wisdom teeth removed (and my infection started) near the holidays, and they were completely unreachable. this is fine and understandable usually, but they never gave me any kind of warning that they'd be closed immediately after my procedure at any point beforehand. they were closed for almost a full week when i was having pretty severe complications. the care sheet they gave me was lacking and wasn't for wisdom teeth removal care. they also failed to schedule my 2 week post op appointment entirely, and when i tried to schedule one myself they said it'd have to be a month away. with the whole thing with the insurance, 2 day long hospital stay, and the therapy bills i'll have to pay to deal with the aftermath of this traumatic experience, it's really not worth risking any of this. thousands of dollars spent when i could've just gone somewhere competent and paid a fraction and not come out traumatised. it's not worth it. tl;dr: don't go here for anything more complex than tooth cleanings. they offer no kind of sedation for procedures regardless of what they tell you when scheduling, and are extremely careless and disorganised. care afterwards is non existent and you're 100% on your own. it's so sad, i used to go here before they changed owners (i've been coming here my whole life, i'm 21 years old now) and it used to be such a good place. not anymore, i guess.
Dr. Lin and team are great (especially Rhonda and Jen). I always feel well cared for and they work together well to make the otherwise unpleasant experience of having your teeth drilled into and around pretty comfortable and quick. Office staff reliably take care of billing and insurance and are always on top of things (and pleasantly not impossible to get ahold of). Although there is usually a pretty long wait list to get in for a cleaning, my more urgent concerns are always treated quickly.
Not the greatest experience.. called on a whim for a dental emergency - the woman at the front desk was super polite, so was the dental assistant.. the actual dentist though.. I don't even believe I was told his name. He only greeted me after I said hello to him first. I made it clear to him twice what my allergies are (filled it out in my paper work as well) and he told me I didn't need an antibiotic anyway since I didn't have an infection. He'd write me a prescription for a oral rinse. Fine. Had to ask the hygienist again to CONFIRM there was no infection, since I was in a ton of pain.. was told no again. When I went to the desk to schedule my next appointment, I was told today was the dentists last day and they'd call me to schedule w/ the new dentist. I asked about the prescription, she said he'd send it in to the pharmacy I gave to the dentist, told her that he didn't even ask what pharmacy.. so there's that. Keep in mind this was all done late on a Thursday, and they are closed on Friday. At 5 o clock, I get a text from my pharmacy saying my prescription was ready to be picked up. The prescription wasn't for the rinse though.. it was for the antibiotic that I told him twice (again, filled out in my paperwork too) that I was ALLERGIC to. LOL WHAT? I was even told multiple times that I didn't even need one. Couldn't even call back to get that fixed because they were closed for the weekend. Also, while in the chair and they shine the light over you - there were multiple cob- webs hanging from it. So.. yeah. Anywho - never heard from anyone to schedule my next appointment that following week. Which is fine, I went elsewhere to a much cleaner, more professional establishment who helped me right away. Hopefully it's better since that fool left, but...doubtful.
The doctor was kind enough. However, to say the patient care side of things with the administration was lacking is an understatement. Chris primarily was very unkind and very rude. I was told I could do a payment plan. And that's what I expected. They did not accept my insurance and it was an emergency. I want to check out and she was mumbling under her breath to her co-workers. About making sure to cancel my appointment if I. Did not pay everything in full prior to my next appointment. She made me very uncomfortable. Dental health is so important. And so it's treating your patients with kindness and care. Most offices understand this and work with you to make sure you can get everything taken care of officially and prompt when needed. I ended up finding another office that was super kind. Very professional accepted my insurance and got me in right away! Chris practically ruined the experience I had with the way she spoke to me and treated me. I would never go back there!
