About the Practice
Lakeville Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Jonathan McCabe, DMD, MD, practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries and TMJ disorders, and perform a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures. Dr. McCabe was born and raised in Mankato, MN, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as Biology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine and graduated at the top of his class earning his Dental Medical Doctorate (DMD). Dr. McCabe continued on to complete a six-year oral and maxillofacial residency at the University of Florida Jacksonville campus. It was there he graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville to earn his Medical Doctorate (MD) and completed one year of General Surgery training at the University of Florida. Dr. McCabe is a board-eligible member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and an active member of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS), American Dental Association (ADA), Minnesota Dental Association (MDA), American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA), a diplomat of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and excited to contribute to the Minnesota Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (MSOMS). He has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and has lectured on numerous topics within the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

The whole team was great to work with! Dr. McCabe, Caelee and Sarah were great and informative. Process and procedures were all smooth and flawless from the start. They answered all of my questions and made sure I knew the plan and really good post-procedure instructions. I also really liked that Dr. McCabe reached out and checked in on me after the procedure. Overall a great experience and would recommend them to anyone.
If you have ever been nervous about going to the dentist or needing oral surgery you would NOT have to worry about that at Advanced Oral Surgery in Lakeville, MN with Dr. Jonathan McCabe and all the staff. I needed an extraction and bone grafting last week and my experience was awesome! The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. Dr McCabe it’s very professional and knowledgeable and speaks in a very calm manner. Dr. McCabe did an excellent job in my recovery has been great. Dental care has come a long way since I was younger and I would highly recommend Dr. McCabe. I would go back tomorrow and do it all over again is how confident and comfortable I felt. I will be going back for an implant and I’m not worried or nervous at all.
Dr McCabe was fantastic. He and his team explained everything in detail. The process of having my wisdom teeth removed was quick, easy, and as painless and removing teeth can be 😂. The aftercare was very detailed and Dr MaCabe even texted me about 12 hours after my extractions to see how I was doing any answer and questions I might have. I would highly recommend using them!
I recently had a few teeth extracted due to my Orthodontia plan and my Orthodontist recommended Dr. McCabe. In the past I have been to a couple different Oral Surgeons and Endodontists where I did have very good experiences. Dr. McCabe and his staff just raised the bar. I had a fantastic experience throughout the whole process. After my initial consultation, left feeling confident with all the information needed. When I returned and the procedure was completed, I was very well informed and was walked through the after treatment process with all details needed. Dr. McCabe also followed up personally later that evening to ensure I was comfortable and if I had any questions or concerns. Thanks again to Dr. McCabe and his team.
My experience at Advanced Oral Surgery & Peridondics was very positive. Dr. McCabe was extremely good at easing any anxiousness I may have had. The staff and nurses are exceptional. I would highly recommend these folks to anyone!
