I bit into something really hard and cracked a root. So I needed to have the tooth pulled. It was a tooth you really need for chewing. So I called API . They walked me through the process of an implant . I decided to do it. And it was well worth it. Their entire staff is amazing and Dr. Shurdik is the best . I could not recommend them more.
Dr. Recker and his compassionate staff are not only highly qualified, professional, and efficient, but just as important, I felt comfortable and welcomed the minute I walked into the office. From the front desk, to the hygienists, to the imaging technician, and Dr. Recker, everyone was so friendly and put me at ease immediately. Going to the periodontist was actually an enjoyable experience, and I was pleased to the point of tears with the immediate improvement. HIGHLY recommend and thank you!

I went to API because they were referred by my dentist. I needed a lot of work but a deep cleaning was the first step. I explained to them I wasn’t rich and really needed to be smart about how I spent my money… basically I made an effort for them to empathize with my financial situation especially considering I was going to get all the recommended $21,000 of other work I needed done there. They quoted me $2500 dollars. After doing some research EVERYWHERE said they were charging waaaay too much. I went to another place, with way nicer facilities by the way, and they said they would do the same work for $1100 dollars. So API was going to overcharge me $1400 dollars. That means they were going to overcharge me over double what the actual work that needed to be done was in their facility that needed an upgrade 20 years ago. Unbelievable! I find this to be incredibly disturbing. I don’t know if one of the owners has a gambling problem or something… but PLEASE get a second opinion on whatever they recommend. If you do you’ll probably find a more helpful provider with nicer offices that will cost you less than half of what API tries to cheat you out of. I’m no troller and this is literally the first bad review on Google I’ve ever left. I feel morally obligated as a Paramedic to protect the sick and injured and it would be remiss to not warn people of predatory charges on something so important like oral hygiene. Hopefully this review ends up making them lose $1400+ dollars of business and they rethink their unethical business practices.
My experience with API was very positive. Every step of the way, Dr Recker and his staff were very patient and supportive. They took the time to answer all my questions and truly encouraged and invited me to call with any follow up questions I might have.
