Dr. Levy and his staff are all very friendly and down-to-earth. Easy to talk with, and honestly I love his no-horse-shit take on just being honest with clients. He'll tell it how it is, but he'll do so in a very friendly, almost casual manner. Will not suggest things you don't need, will consider your opinions, no fluff or bloat (pricing-wise). Just straight up "here's what you need; do you want to proceed?" I generally dislike dentist visits, but Dr. Levy's office is the sole exception.
After waiting for too long to get a deep cleaning, I chose Dr. Levy to handle my dental situation, after reaching out to various periodontists, and so far so good. Dr. Levy and Miss Jackie (his assistant) are very professional, knowledgeable, and kind, if not sweet. The clinic is very clean and peaceful. I got a periodontal assessment with Dr. Levy during my initial appointment, and he was very thorough with formulating a plan for my dental procedures. I go back in four weeks, for my follow up. So far, I’m very satisfied with the services I received, and the total costs compare to the average price for dental deep cleanings around the DC area. I recommend Dr. Levy to anyone who has postponed getting dental work, due to trauma experienced at the hands of other dentists. Dr. Levy will handle your dental situation with professionalism and care!
I initially went to Dr. Levy for a second opinion and very happy I did because I decided to go to him vs. the other periodontist. As a plus, he is on my insurance plan. He was very gentle when performing surgery and asked me how I was doing during the procedure and it was painless. He gave me detailed instructions, both verbally and written, and followed up with me that evening and readily responded to me when I sent him a few texts over the week following my surgery. I was very impressed with the entire process. His front desk person/assistant is also very professional and friendly. His staff is very good about sending appointment confirmations and reminders as well as scheduling appointments, and being on time. The office I went to in downtown DC is in a great location and easily accessible.
I had an outstanding experience at Advanced Periodontics of Washington. From start to finish, the team was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. Jackie is fantastic—she clearly explains costs, breaks down insurance coverage, and ensures everything is transparent, making the process smooth and stress-free. Dr. Levy is exceptional. During my consultation, he took the time to assess my entire mouth, not just the specific issue I was referred for. He explained everything thoroughly in a way that was easy to understand, and his bedside manner is outstanding. What truly sets this office apart is their level of care. Dr. Levy went the extra mile by providing detailed aftercare instructions and even giving me the option to text him if needed. To my surprise, he personally checked in on me later that evening, which really showed his dedication to patient care. I still have more treatment ahead, but I feel completely at ease knowing I’m in great hands. If you’re looking for a dental team that genuinely cares, I highly recommend Advanced Periodontics of Washington!
