Dr Ahlgrim has been providing dental care for myself, wife and son for over 20 years. My son from about the age of six until he moved to Scotsdale several years ago and he is now in his late 20's. Our experiences at this office have felt like it's actually family that is looking after us. Couple stories here gonna be a bit long sorry in advance. When my son was very young Dr Ahlgrim had a panoramic ex-ray performed on him. It indicated the secondary teeth wouldn't have enough room when they came in and he would most likely have crowded teeth. He installed a palate expander for a year or so and as my son grew his secondary teeth came in dead straight perfect. No need for expensive orthodontic work. Also when my son was in college in Arizona he visited a dental office there and they said he needed all kinds of service. I told him don't do a thing as he was scheduled to fly home and I'd have the Dr look at him and sure enough not a thing wrong with him other than going to a dishonest provider in Arizona. My wife when we initially moved here wasn't with Dr Ahlgrim and left her provider and came home and they said she had this and that wrong and needed to schedule work. I said to my wife wait a minute go see my Dr first and sure enough not a thing wrong with her teeth and to this day nothing wrong and the Dr would probably tell you she's has some of the healthier teeth he treats. So once again a shady dental provider before going to Dr Ahlgrim. I have more stories but will leave it there. Last July I had to have a tooth extracted by Dr Reed Attisha another stellar practitioner. I decided to go thru with an implant. 9 month process and yesterday after taking molds previously Dr Ahlgrim installed the final piece the crown. Today as I write this it feels absolutely perfect. Fits perfect no foreign feeling no weird bite and feels absolutely natural an unnoticeable. The staff here are caring, talented and fun. Dr Ahlgrim is like the guy you want to hang and have a beer with. If your looking and trying to decide on a dental practice look no further and your welcome.
We loved Dr Ahlgrim and their office. It is a family dentist not owned by some corporate office. We are military and they took care of our family of ten for four years and we felt like family. I never felt cheated or like Dr. Was coming up with treatments my kids needed. In four years, my kids maybe had four cavities collectively. He is very conservative and truly cares about his patients! The office staff is great too, especially the office manager. We were always on a first name basis. Even through covid they took care of us. High recommend!
It was 1971 and the pool at the Holiday Inn in Atlantic City was cloudy…but I was an eager eight year old who loved to swim. I dove in. Bam! I chipped my front tooth! For the last 50+ years I’ve been dealing w procedures to fix my smile, none of which were effective nor attractive. Fast forward to 2023: a friend recommended Dr. Ahlgrim to me - which turned out to be a great stroke of luck. Dr. Ahlgrim built for me the most perfect crowns for my front teeth. They’re absolutely perfect! Dr. Ahlgrim is an outstanding dentist supported by a wonderful staff. I highly recommend him and his team. I’ll be forever grateful for their efforts.
Steven Ahlgrim suddenly became hostile to my family after coming there for 18 years because I got a procedure done somewhere else (an orthodontist) that was not offered by Dr. Ahlgrim. He was abusive at my next appointment following the procedure. I was never more afraid than at that appointment. This is very serious. Stay away from this office. Go to a dentist that can do the dental procedures you may need and does not punish you for needing work that is not offered there and having it elsewhere.
You shouldn't talk about your patient to another patient especially if they over hear. He needs to mind his own business and do his job. I never will recommend this Dentist. A pompas A.
