Dr. Wiggins, and her staff are incredibly kind, professional, intelligent, personable, and they all seem to have a great sense of humor as well! I could not be more impressed with the quality of care that this office provides. Dr. Wiggins is a shining example of what and who a Doctor should be. A unicorn in the field of dentistry. She is compassionate about her field of work, and her patients. She is honest, thorough, takes her time to do things right, and truly invests in each and every patient in order to give the BEST care to them. Whether you listen to her advice, and take the time to invest in yourself (like she invests in you), is up to you. However, if you do, you will not be disappointed! Dr. Wiggins also accepts more insurances than I've found with other Dentists around the area. On top of that, the pricing in this office is upfront, and very reasonable.
I found Dr. Wiggins as well as her staff to be incredibly genuine, personable, and kind. Some of these negative reviews are honestly puzzling to me. It has been difficult to find dental care in this area as most providers either aren't accepting new patients or don't take my insurance. Dr. Wiggins took me on as a new patient and I am very thankful. She was able to get me in promptly and there were no issues with billing my insurance for the appointment (BCBS of Tennessee). Also, Dr. Wiggins is a highly accomplished individual; the walls of her office are literally lined with plaques and achievements. I am sure she really knows her stuff! I feel good knowing she will be taking care of my dental needs:)
Moving to Marquette it was interesting to find out what dentist I should go to. It's clear that Alpha Omega is the place. I’ve been to dentists in both Escanaba and Powers and because of poor experiences, I assumed all dentists were the same. I asked many people about what dentist I should see and it was unanimous that Alpha Omega was the place that I should go to. Dr. Wiggins had such a confidence, rightfully so, that it put me at ease and I was able to loosen up for my crown. She is also the first dentist to get me completely numbed from only ONE shot rather than a bunch from other dentists. It can't be stressed enough the difference that a good dentist makes. I was even asked what my favorite beer was just because I waited longer than she intended, which was essentially just normal amount. I'm excited to be a patient and no longer anxious to go to appointments.
Absolutely don’t go here for multiple reasons. Understaffed at the front desk. I was treated poorly over email response multiple times directly by Dr. Wiggins because I was trying to coordinate my health and dental insurances and I was made to feel bad directly by Dr. Wiggins for doing this. Separate issue-I was told by my OMT therapist to remove post procedure scab per their OMT protocol then I was made to feel bad here at my 1 week follow up visit because it was done (afterward I realize it’s because she didn’t get to charge me for it is why Dr. Wiggins acted mad at me). At this point the office voicemails are not answered and only way to communicate with office is by email if you’re lucky enough to get a response and it’s directly with Dr. Wiggins who was rude. Not ideal for billing questions. No reception or front desk staff it appears ( I wonder why!?!) Dr. Wiggins was not willing to work with active health insurance. Really watch your billing, she added a charge after I was gone that I was never made aware of. She pre charges and will make you pay up front before even submitting to dental insurance that she is contracted with. Very sleazy operation under the guise of her saying “I’m busy, it’s just me”. Had to go into the office to get her to respond. Provider is willing to burn bridges and onto the next patient. Go somewhere else where you will be treated with care and respect by a professional dental team. She is not a kind person.
Such an amazing experience after such a traumatic situation. My 14 month old had a dental emergency. Dr Wiggins and her staff were the ONLY practice in Marquette and surrounding areas that would take us in and help give us some answers and relief. The receptionist was extremely helpful and understanding. Dr Wiggins was nothing short of a saint in dealing with my baby boy and providing me with all the answers to my questions and so much reassurance. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you so much to Dr. Wiggins and her staff. I have so much relief after our visit today.
