My first visit at the practice was a positive experience. I was seen promptly at my appointment time, the hygienist was polite and efficient and did a great job of cleaning my teeth, the dentist was pleasant, did a quick exam and I was on my way. It’s definitely a volume operation but I was satisfied with my visit and will return. Overall, it was as pleasant as a visit to the dentist can be!

Going to the dentist is never fun. The atmosphere at American Dental Care is designed to relax the patient. Simple things like the chair facing the window may not seem like a lot but it went a long way towards lowering my anxiety. Thanks to whole staff for a job well done!

American dental care is the best experience with a dentist I've had in Dover. Had to go in for an urgent care visit was able to have my problem taken care of THAT day! The staff are professional and knowledgeable answering everything and clearly explaining what is going on and what needs to be done. Lovely folk all around. I trust my teeth to them!

I’ve generally had great experiences at American Dental Care, so this feedback is coming from someone who usually leaves very happy. My daughter had her first visit today after transitioning from her pediatric dentist, and the clinical side of our visit was excellent. Her hygienist was kind and wonderful, and Dr. V was fantastic. Unfortunately, our check-in experience was… memorable, but not in the way you’d hope. One of the schedulers (a woman with short, very red curly hair) was loudly using the F-word, flipping people off, rolling her eyes, throwing her hands in the air, and generally performing what felt like a one-woman off-Broadway show titled “I Hate My Job.” Since there’s only a half wall separating the front desk area from the waiting room, the entire audience—patients included—had front row seats. I absolutely understand that everyone has bad days. But the level of frustration and language being used in front of patients and coworkers was extremely unprofessional and honestly uncomfortable to witness. Several people were standing nearby in the hallway observing the behavior, which made it even more awkward. Lucky us, she was also the one who checked us out after our visit. While helping us, she continued venting about how she “can’t stand people who don’t know how to do their jobs” and how she’s “tired of doing everyone else’s work.” It was… quite the checkout experience. As someone who manages people professionally, I know how important workplace culture and coaching can be. This employee may need some guidance—or perhaps a role that doesn’t involve a waiting room full of patients. I actually had to apologize to my daughter for the behavior she witnessed, which is not something I ever expected to do at a dental appointment. Again, the care from the hygienist and Dr. V was wonderful, which makes this even more disappointing. I hope this feedback helps address what felt like a very avoidable situation.

Today was my 1st time here scheduling was easy to setup. I had an appointment within a few days. Latay my dental assistant was awesome she handled me with extreme care and professionalism. I was very relaxed and felt really comfortable with her. Dr. Lee was very knowledgeable and polite found a problem that l noticed but my previous dentist wasn't concerned about. I recommended this dentist 1000%. You will not find a better one. They truly handle you with care.
