Wonderful caring treatment by the people here. It was clear how much my comfort was a priority during the session. They also used a new advanced therapy that made it easier and which should have good results for my issues. Very pleased so far.
I have been going to this practice for years. Dr Sorensen was kind, gentle, skillful and emphatic as were the rest of the staff. Dr. Mera took over this practice and everything has changed. Dr. Mera has never used my name which I think is a small thing to ask considering in just the last year my husband and I have paid him $10,000. The front desk staff has also never used my name. My name is used only to call me out of the waiting room. Dr. Mera seems uninterested in my comfort or concerns. Even though my last appointment was a quick procedure it was as painful of a visit as I’ve had. Unless there was a medical reason not to use a topical anesthesia I believe it would have made a difference. Furthermore in the last few years I have not been able to get appointments for cleanings with my preferred hygienist. I have been told to go to my regular dentist for cleanings when I specifically need to have deep cleanings because of periodontal disease.
Third significant procedure at Ann Arbor Periodontics, and excellent as usual. Excellent clinical care, including attention to anesthesia and comfort. Dr. Meraw is kind, efficient, and skilled, and has a very good team to back him up.
My experience was friendly and comforting. From the greeting at the front desk to the technical work and making payment, all parties were delightful to deal with. I have been in businesses all my life and am retired now. But during those years, I always wished that I would have staff that was attentive, courteous, and friendly as this group. Going to a periodontist is no walk in the park, but everyone there makes it a lot easier.
Dr. Meraw has amazing skills and his assistants are highly competent and kind. The office staff person, Lauren, explained the financials clearly and accurately. My only caveats are that they should do online health questionnaires in advance and lose the heavy air freshener that perfumes the lobby and even the surgical areas.
