10 out of 10, would recommend!!! I went to see Dr. Gray to discuss replacing my two front crowns due to their age. After my initial consultation, he referred me to an endodontist to ensure my teeth were healthy enough to support new work. That turned out to be an excellent decision—we discovered that one of the teeth was actually broken at the post level. During my second consultation, we reviewed everything and agreed that a four-tooth bridge would be the best solution. Because of a past nightmare dental experience, I was extremely anxious about undergoing such a major procedure. Honestly, I was terrified and expected I’d only be able to do it under sedation. Fast forward to the day of the procedure. First, I need to mention that after my initial visit, Dr. Gray gave me his personal number and encouraged me to text anytime with questions. Although he had already explained every step of the procedure in detail, he wanted to make sure I felt completely at ease. I did end up texting him with a few questions, and he responded within minutes every time. AMAZING. Thanks to his attentiveness, I arrived feeling much calmer. My only remaining concern was that, due to scheduling conflicts that neither of us could control, I wouldn’t be able to be sedated. When Dr. Gray walked into the room, the first thing he did was go over the entire plan again, breaking it down into phases and explaining how long each part would take—3.5 to 4 hours in total. Before beginning, he assured me that he would keep me comfortable and take excellent care of me. He administered the first local anesthetic with just a tiny pinch, and I didn’t feel any of the follow-up injections at all. For the next four hours, Dr. Gray and his assistant, Leeannah, worked non-stop removing my crowns and preparing my mouth for the temporary bridge he would carefully craft. When the procedure was finished, I walked out of Ann Arbor Smiles with a temporary bridge that could rival most permanent ones. I am truly grateful for the thoughtful care given to me by Dr. Gray and Leeannah. They are exceptional at what they do and extraordinary people on top of it. Google only allows 5 stars, but they truly deserve ALL the stars. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking outstanding dental care delivered with genuine human touch.

As a new patient was a wonderful experience from my first phone call until the end of my appointment. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and communicates well. Dr. Ault is phenomenal as is his assistant, her name has slipped my mind. Thank you for your prompt and excellent care!

We cannot give enough praise for Dr. Gray at Ann Arbor Smiles and his dental hygienist. Our neurodivergent daughter needed extensive crown work done, and we were connected with the perfect dentist. What stood out most was his excitement about creating a smile transformation. His enthusiasm relieved our daughter’s dental anxiety, and his technique made her crown work virtually painless. If you are afraid of going to the dentist, or you have a differently abled family and are looking for a dentist who will ‘get them’, we highly recommend Dr. Gray and his team.

My hygienist did a very thorough job. She described what she would be doing before she did it. Apparently she’s a substitute for when others are out. If it were possible, I’d have her as my regular hygienist. The only criticism I have is she didn’t suggest a fluoride treatment. I usually get one at my cleanings. It’s not 100% necessary and not covered by my insurance due to my age, but I don’t mind paying out of pocket.

Because of CoVid and other circumstances, it had been years since I visited a dental office. The professionalism of the staff and the physical office space immediately put me at ease. My sense of ease was heightened when I met Dr. Emily, the owner and chief dentist. Her professional knowledge was apparent in the sound advice she presented me regarding my dental health. Her treatment plan made me feel that I was in good hands regarding my dental health.
