I had a dental cleaning schedule for this afternoon. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment to find the doors to the office locked. There was no one at the front desk and no one answered when I called. I understand that we are experiencing a winter storm. However, I received two texts from Arch City Dental in the last 24 hours as well as an email CONFIRMING my appointment. I received absolutely no notice of office closure personally and there is no notice on their website or answering machine. I find this extremely frustrating and disrespectful of my time and safety. I had not left my home in 3 days, except to walk my dog, and only left home today for this appointment. I have only been a patient at this practice for about a year and was never overly impressed with this practice. My experience today was unacceptable and I will not be returning. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

I’m not typically someone who leaves negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I’ve been a patient at this office since the days when Dr. Andrew Baloy, DDS was leading the practice. At that time, the staff was caring, professional, and attentive, and I consistently left satisfied with the service I received. At that time, I would also recommend this practice to anyone I knew. Over the past year or two, there appears to have been a management or ownership transition, and unfortunately the quality of service has drastically declined. Cleanings now feel rushed and less thorough than before, and the billing practices have become concerning and questionable. I have not received any dental services outside of regular cleanings so I cannot comment on the ever-changing doctors. For every cleaning in the past, I signed paperwork showing $0 patient responsibility, with insurance covering the balance. However, on 12/5/25 I received an email stating that I owed a balance for my most recent visit. Then on 12/30/25, I received another email apologizing that a new “AI billing software” had been implemented and that billing statements were sent out before accounts were reconciled. Since then, over the course of 2 months, I have left multiple voicemails to the billing department (phone calls go unanswered, the phone dials straight to VM) and have not received a response, while trying to resolve the billing error. To make matters worse, I also received a DATED past-due notice in the mail while I was out of the country. It’s disappointing to see the decline of a practice I once trusted and recommended. Based on my recent experiences, I can no longer recommend this office.

All the people who work at Arch City Dental are amazing. Dr. Alodat, Kerri, Devin, Terria, Kaylan, and Anthony were the best from start to beginning. They are very attentive and listen to every issue I felt I had. If you are looking for a new dentist this is definitely the place to be.

DON’T GO TO THIS OFFICE UNLESS YOU LOVE BEING TREATED POORLY. Terrible dental office. Rude staff not good with college students. My daughter, who came with a tooth ache, was there for 45 minutes because the receptionist claimed she didn’t receive the paperwork my daughter submitted online, despite my daughter showing the email that it was submitted. Not a big deal, my daughter completed the paperwork and then was told her insurance wasn’t correct. Her dental and medical is with Antema and she provided her medical card. She called her parent got the correct insurance number in a couple minutes and then was told by staff they could not see her and they were charging her a cancellation fee unless she rescheduled appointment, which she did. I had to get involved to get that appointment canceled with no fee. At least they agreed to waive the fee. Patience and kindness is a two-way street. You can’t ask for patience and kindness regarding a paperwork issue then be rude to the patient who was on time and ready to go. Greedy jerks taking advantage of young adults because they can.

I have been a patient at this practice for many years, and previously, it was great and I had no issues. In the last couple of months however, there has been a drastic difference, as mentioned by several other reviewers recently. It does seem like the entire staff has changed, and while the hygienists and dentists still seem good, there have been significant communication issues with other office staff. Around the holidays in December, I received several calls to reschedule my appointment, and then calls that actually the appointment did not need to be rescheduled. I was unable to reach their office after calling multiple times to clarify, so I showed up to the appointment as scheduled, and the receptionist was annoyed that I had come and told me my appointment was supposed to be cancelled. I chalked this up to confusion around the holidays. This week, there was a winter storm and snow emergency two days prior to my appointment, and by the time of my appointment the snow emergency was downgraded and business were open. Like another reviewer, I received both an email and several texts including on the day of my appointment to confirm my appointment. However, when I showed up at the office there was no one in the office, and no notification on the practice door, their website, or any phone call to notify me that the office was closed that day. I am unfortunately committed to continuing to come here for a procedure I've already paid for, but am planning to find another dentist afterwards and would not recommend establishing care here at this time.
