Had a tooth pulled. Got dry socket, don't blame the doctor, but they wanted me to return every day from out of town. Finally talked them into something I could do at home. Then bone came to the surface & the doc said he could find anything. I removed it myself. A bone ridge was left at the extraction sight & I feel discomfort every day. I've had teeth removed before, this was by far the worst experience I've ever gone thru. Would never return.
Dr Gama is a top drawer oral surgeon. I've received two implants under his expert care, and couldn't be happier with the results. All of his staff are very competent and very kind. Dr. Gama keeps current with the latest surgical technology. He's also a genuinely nice person who truly cares about his patients. My highest recommendation!
The oral surgeon is good and staff are friendly when you are there, but there does appear to be little communication between the different staff members and staff with the surgeon. If you do not stay on top of things yourself, there are are few call backs, no updates and promises that staff will follow through with a call and never do. Need to improve their communication within the office, both between the different staff members and the patient.
I can’t fault the doctor for his surgical skill. I can and do fault him for the thoughtless and inefficient intake (had the information for weeks and waited to address concerns until the day of the appointment) and more importantly for keeping my daughter from me when she was in distress. “You can’t see your mom until you calm down” for fifteen minutes!!! They should have come to get me and she would have been calm in seconds! It also happened to a friend of hers. I don’t recommend taking your loved one here if your loved one is vulnerable in any way. I regret taking my daughter to people who bullied her.
Dr GAMA and his staff are the most ultimate you could experience. I was so nervous, due to a horrible experience with another oral surgeon years ago in the same area….it was like the difference of going through hell and then experience heaven with Dr. GAMA & his staff. Peace & blessings Allison
