Patient Reviews
Powered by GoogleRacial profiling & financial coercion, not healthcare Went to Aspen Dental for a basic teeth cleaning with my wife. I am a former patient; my wife was new. Because I previously declined an $11,000 treatment plan, the office manager, Susan, immediately became hostile and refused to provide even a routine cleaning, saying she would not offer any service to me. When I said this could have been handled easily back in my home country, she sarcastically asked, “What do you call home?”—a comment that felt racially charged and inappropriate. She then told me to leave her office with no explanation or alternatives. This felt like retaliation for refusing expensive treatment. My wife’s appointment was just as disturbing. The dentist and hygienist initially said her teeth looked fine, but afterward Susan stepped in and suddenly described everything as severe and urgent, pushing costly treatment. When my wife said she wanted to discuss it with her husband first, Susan mocked her, saying “your husband doesn’t accept treatment anyway—how is he going to recommend anything for you?” The entire experience felt like racial profiling, financial coercion, intimidation, and humiliation—not patient-centered care. If you don’t agree to overpriced procedures, expect pressure and disrespect. Avoid this place.
I’ve been to Aspen Dental in Dewitt a few times for fillings and a molar crown. Sierra, the dental assistant who worked with me each visit, was impressive — knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly skilled. She created my temporary crown under the dentist’s supervision using modern equipment, and it turned out great. I’m scheduled to go back for a filling and crown on a front tooth and feel comfortable continuing care there.
I had a tooth fall out in my lower denture and was frantically trying to get it repaired and was told I may have to wait a week for a repair then a good friend of mine said his wife worked at the aspen dental located on Erie Blvd and that she told me to go in at 8am the next day and I would be taken care of. So thank-you so much Zaiomy,Tara and Donna! If it weren't for you guys I would have had the worst weekend. All fixed an smoking again!!
I just got my wisdom teeth out for $4000 less than Aspen quoted me for the same procedure. Aspen told me they would require surgery; they did not, and it was a simple extraction. Earlier this year they recommended I extract four bottom teeth; I declined because they weren’t bothering me. I’m glad every day that I listened to my gut. My new dentist examined me and determined that those teeth are perfectly healthy. This location was willing to permanently alter my quality of life by extracting four healthy teeth to improve their bottom line. Do not trust this provider.
Susan Patrick at Aspen Dental is the absolute best!! She took care of all of my insurance details and made sure I got all of the benefits that I was entitled to. I can’t recommend them enough.
