As a new patient, the initial visit was very easy. The hygienist and dentist were clear on their findings and how they came up with my treatment plan. They were thorough and easy to understand. Lia was helpful explaining how we arrived at the total amount $ due. She laid out all possible payment options and was patient with me as I struggled to choose. She also suggested the aspen savings plan, that reduced my total amount owed by $1000. As someone who is completely out of pocket, this was much appreciated. I’d def recommend this location and I’m looking forward to my next appointment.

I recently lost a tooth from my dentures. I did some calling around, and most places only repair dentures made at their establishment. When I called Aspen, the first thing I asked was whether they repaired dentures that were not made by them. I was told, yes, they do. Their website pretty much indicates the same thing. In fact, their website site is inviting and claims to take care of all kinds of issues, even for walk-ins. And they are open on Saturday. Don't believe any of it. Saturdays are mainly for new patients. They really only want new patients. I scheduled my appointment. I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled time. One person was there before me. Five others arrived after me. All were called back before I was. While waiting, I overheard conversations with the receptionist and one of the office people. They were trying to unscheduled some appointments as they were overbooked. They called one woman who wanted a tooth extraction and told her that that was not done on Saturdays. It was only for new patients. Another patient came in complaining about being charged for work he had not signed off for. I started to feel uneasy in this McDentist office. After waiting nearly an hour, I was called back. The young lady started talking about x-rays and going over my plan with the dentist. I said, I'm here to get my dentures repaired. She seemed nervous after I said that. I said I had no intention of becoming a new patient. She asked me to sit in a room. She came back with the dentist who said their technician was not in on Saturdays, which is only for cleanings and new patients mostly. She further said that they DO NOT repair dentures that were not made by them. I told her, the scheduling people needed to be informed on what the offices actually do and when they do it. She said that they don't do their own scheduling; it is through a scheduling service. I said that that was obvious, but they still need to know what services are provide and when. Her only reply was that they had been told. I said that was not effective then. So after wasting my Saturday morning, I left. The receptionist didn't even have the courtesy to update me while I waited in the lobby for an hour. Avoid medical corporate franchises!

I decided to use Aspen Dental for dental care because I was informed that they were accepting new patients by my insurance provider. I called and made the appointment and provided the required insurance coverage/information.Additionally my dental insurance provider called to confirm my coverage. The appointment was scheduled and I assumed that I would be seen as a new patient. However; 2 days before my appointment, I received a call from the staff at Aspen/Dunwoody informing me that my insurance coverage was not accepted. I called my insurance provider, who called Aspen to confirm my coverage again. After being given the runaround, I was eventually/abruptly informed that Aspen Dental Dunwoody WAS NOT receiving new patients. At this point I'm questioning the reason why I was not received/ selected/chosen as a new patient. I have an idea as to why I wasn't chosen. It appears their new patient selection process isn't all inclusive. I will never ever seek services from any Aspen Dental location and I continue to question the process for choosing new patients. After all it is their loss and my gain to not have to deal with such a confused/ unwelcoming and unorganized business. Thank you for nothing Aspen Dental, Monique
