All I wanted was a dental cleaning. I called Aspen to make an appointment and they told me I would need two appointments to get a cleaning. First I would have to have a "dental exam" and then I could make an appointment for a dental cleaning. Every other dentist I've even seen has always been able to schedule the dental cleaning as part of my first visit. I have dental insurance, so the first visit was included as part of the premium of my insurance. But the second appointment was going to cost me $142.00 for the cleaning. It may not seem like an astronomical amount of money to spend at the dentist, but this cleaning should have been free as part of my dental insurance. That's partly why I have the insurance, so that I don't have to pay additionally for the cleanings. But since Aspen dental splits this experience into two appointments, they not only can charge for two appointments, but I will have to pay additionally for the dental cleaning. After the dental exam, I told them I was going elsewhere. They are a slick operation with new technology and colorful imagery on their big screens, but do not be fooled. I did not get what I wanted, which was the free dental cleaning that is paid for by my dental insurance. You have been warned!
I am currently managing my brother’s treatment at this clinic, as his English is limited, and I am also the person financially responsible for his care, paying out-of-pocket. Unfortunately, our experience has been very disappointing. Communication regarding appointments and financial details has been unclear, staff responses have felt dismissive, and promised callbacks were not returned. Despite paying nearly 70% of the implant procedure, there has been no financial flexibility or consideration for self-pay patients. As we are still undergoing treatment, I hope the final clinical results are satisfactory, but the overall customer service and professionalism have not met expectations.
my experience has been very disappointing. The dentures provided are low quality and have not met expectations. Interactions with staff, particularly Samantha, have felt dismissive and unprofessional. When I raise concerns or request adjustments, I am told there will be additional charges, even for minor fixes. As an out-of-pocket patient who has already paid most of the treatment cost, I expected better service and professionalism. Overall, this has been one of the most frustrating healthcare experiences I have had.
I had an amazing experience in the glenmont office today the girls up front were awesome. Sasha was super sweet, very welcoming and kind she got me in right away. Jessica was nice she was answering all my questions and concerns, doc Alex was very helpful cool guy and very understanding! he got me in the chair in the same new patient visit to fix my problem I was having with my tooth. Indian the assistant was very helpful as well. Heather the hygienist was really nice she came in the room and went over my over teeth health told me everything looks great Samantha the office manager was really helpful she went over everything that was recommended for me and made sure I understood everything i 100% recommend coming to this office everyone was so nice to me I was kind of nervous but everyone made me feel super comfortable
I can really say I am pleased. The appointment was on time. Everyone was friendly. The customer service was fantastic. The transparency regarding cost and insurance was on spot. Very honest practice. I do recommend. I had a dental emergency and was given an immediate appointment. They do walk ins as well. Thank you Aspen.
