Powered by GoogleI went to this dental office today immediately after finishing a 12-hour ICU shift because I was experiencing the worst tooth pain of my life. I am genuinely terrified of dentists, but the pain was so severe that it pushed me to seek care anyway. After paying the office visit fee and completing X-rays, I was placed in a financial office to discuss the cost of a future tooth cleaning while I was actively sitting there in severe pain with a throbbing mouth. Instead of addressing the urgent issue, the focus felt centered on billing and payment discussions. I had already taken multiple doses of ibuprofen throughout the night just to function during my shift, and I had not slept at all before coming in. Despite clearly explaining how severe the pain was, I was ultimately told that antibiotics and pain medication would help and was prescribed amoxicillin — without actually receiving treatment for the tooth causing the pain. As a healthcare worker myself, it was extremely frustrating to leave still in severe pain after seeking urgent dental care. I came in desperate for relief and left feeling unheard and untreated. I am now considering going to the ER because my pain remains uncontrolled. I understand that treatment plans and scheduling can be complex, but when a patient presents in obvious acute pain, compassion and immediate care should come first. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Edit to your response: It wasn’t just about not being able to provide the care I needed, the unsympathetic “dentist” when it came to my pain and made it point to rudely cut me off when I told him the ibuprofen wasn’t working. “Have you tried it with amoxicillin?” Was his response, lol what? Btw this is the first google review I’ve ever made that’s how shocked I was with the care I was provided.
I am moving in a few months and am looking for a dental franchise that is across the eastern states. Aspen Dental meets that criteria. I spent time with 4 professionals: xray tech, hygienist, dentist, and office manager. They were each interested in educating me about their part of my initial exam and plans for my dental needs. My questions were answered thoroughly and augmented with graphics and photos. There was no high pressured selling, just a strong sense of explaining current methodologies in dental preventative and correctional care.
The office at the Charlotte Pike in Nashville, TN, location were so professional from the front of the office to the back where the miraculous happens. I never thought I would say this about a dental visit. However, these ladies, yes an all ladies crew, practice with exceptional skills. Their work ethic was above any one's expectations. They go above and beyond by making you feel as comfortable as possible before a procedure is done. The dentists listen and address any questions or concerns you may have regarding treatments and steps for continued maintenance of your dental work now and in the future. I definitely left feeling great and my teeth looking renewed and refreshed. They gave me a new smile.
Great experience so far with Aspen Dental! I enjoyed the $29 X-rays and Exam. My treatment plan has been easy to navigate this far. I have a lot of work I need done. I feel comfortable here. The location is easy to get to and the staff is basically all-female and they are so kind! They will work with you on financing.
At about 10pm last night, I had THE worst pain come out of nowhere. I was shaking and sweating and knew I couldn’t live like that for long, so I looked up emergency dentists and was shocked I could make an appointment for 11:15 today! Actually, I could’ve made one even earlier if I didn’t have to drop kids off at school. I am terrified of the dentist. I always have been. However, as we got started, the fear started to melt away before I even realized it! Everyone was so kind and gentle. I felt zero judgement even with my plethora of issues! The dentist was amazing and easy to talk to and even joke around with. She was very honest about referring me to an oral surgeon for a couple things and why. I need quite a bit done, but I’m almost excited to go back and get it all started. For now, I have antibiotics and a much smaller fear of the dentist. Side note…. I’ve noticed most of the bad reviews are $$ related, but who ever goes to a dentist and expects it be cheap? It’s really not the dentist’s fault we have the expensive issues we have. 😅
