Powered by GoogleI went there today to have 2 teeth pulled and Patrick was wonderful!! He is the nicest man! He's very professional and kind. The lady that actually pulled my teeth was awesome too. I just didn't catch her name. They both deserve a raise! Thanks guys!!
I recently gave this place a second chance after 15 years ago they gave me a horrible infection that lasted for years and led to two root canals. I wish I hadn’t. My main reason for going there was I had a large cavity in one tooth. I had no pain in this cavity or anywhere else in my mouth. They insisted on doing multiple other procedures before they would even discuss filling my tooth. Costing me Hundreds of dollars. After the deep plane scaling, I started having some strong aching in my jaw in multiple points in my mouth. But I was told this was normal. That was eight weeks ago and it has just increased. My new dentist says that this is not normal and I now have to make an appointment with my general practitioner to try to figure out what’s going on.I had the filling done and now I am going to need a root canal after I got an infection. Yet again. The general cleaning was rushed and not done Well, I still have calculus buildup all over my teeth. Every appointment I’ve had with them. I paid it after the appointment, like normal. During the last appointment I had, I mentioned that I used to be on badger care. Suddenly, I now have to pre-pay for appointments there. I know two other people who have been longtime clients there, and they have never had to pre-pay for an appointment for anything. So why me? Sounds like discrimination. This place will scam you as far as they possibly can while providing subpar service. I will never be back and I will tell everyone that I possibly can what a terrible experience I have had here, twice.
I had mixed feelings about this visit. What I liked: The dentist was very kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. She took time to review everything, used digital 3D scans (which were impressive and avoided painful cold air testing),even offered to consult with Midwest about a crown placed in December that may have been done incorrectly. The clinical staff working on my teeth were also very nice and listened. However, the overall experience was frustrating. My appointment was at 9am, and I wasn’t taken back until after 10am — only after I went up to ask why others were being called before me. I repeatedly communicated (at least three times prior to the appointment and most importantly at scheduling,) that I needed a crown completed before my insurance ended in February and specifically asked if that was possible. I was told it likely could be done by each person I spoke to both on scheduler hotline and talking with office staff. After the appointment, I was informed they don’t make crowns in-house and it takes two weeks — meaning it couldn’t be completed in time based on the appointment for consult being today. That was the entire reason for my visit. I also had to follow up multiple times before the appointment to confirm insurance verification and record transfers. Midwest hadn’t sent updated 2025 records, and this wasn’t discovered until I was already in the chair. I ended up calling them myself to ensure records were sent. There seemed to be poor communication and lack of follow-through with scheduling and record handling. The dentist herself was great, but the front office coordination and scheduling made the appointment feel like a waste of time and money. I’m not sure if I’ll return, though I hope the overall experience improves in the future if I do. A few people were rescheduled I over heard because they were so busy and unfortunately being mine couldn’t work they really didn’t need to be they should have told me no prior so one I could find a different dentist and 2. They could have had their own current patients.
honestly i went in so nervous hearing others stories about getting a tooth pulled but it wasn’t nearly as bad as how i made it out in my head. Dr. Anelin Feilen is an absolute master at her craft. she definitely made sure i was doing okay and honestly the procedure was done fairly quick. i’m really glad i went to aspen instead of anywhere else. i would also like to mention D.A. Becca, if she’s helping you out, just know you’re in great hands she’s so nice and helpful. i have to say this was by far the best experience at the dentist i’ve had. there’s very little pain during the healing process as well. definitely my main dentist from now on.
Super friendly people there. I was very pleasantly surprised how well my visit went and I didn't feel rushed or like they didn't have time to help me. The dentist was extremely helpful in explaining things to me. Today was my initial visit and I'm nervous about going in for the surgery, but I feel pretty good knowing I'm going to be in good hands. Thank you for helping me and I will be talking to friends and family to recommend Aspen Dental in Onalaska Wisconsin.
