My kids & I just moved to the area, had our first appts today at BHAD, and are super pleased with our entire experience! We were greeted kindly, then our new hygienist-Deidra took us back and did an excellent job on our cleanings! (Very thorough!) I have dental anxiety; she was patient, and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Samuelson explained everything well, answered all my questions, and gave us our treatment plans. The dental assistants helped with my kids’ X-rays, and their entire staff was friendly, professional, and detail oriented. (Cute Christmas decor, too) They helped schedule our next appts around our crazy schedule, and my kids aren’t complaining about going back! :)
The appointment was for my 5 year old to get some fillings. I was beyond anxious for him. The whole process makes me anxious and I thought for sure he would be worse than I. My husband ended up taking him, and his exact word were “I’m blow away.” They were SO AMAZING. Judy took great care of my kiddo and was very well prepared. My husband said there were no tears, no anxiety, just calm and patient staff that showed my son every tool and explained everything to him. There was no mention of any “shots” only that they were going to make his teeth sleepy. He didn’t flinch with the lidocaine and came home smiling showing me his prize for being such a good patient. I can’t recommend Black Hills Area Dental enough. If they can take great care of my kids, I would recommend them to everyone!
This was my first time going to this place. The last dentist I went to, I felt like my point wasn’t getting across and they made me feel like a burden. But, Tessa and Dr. Samuelson did the complete opposite! They made me feel welcome and made sure that my concerns were heard and cared for. Dr. Samuelson offered an option for treatment that I didn’t even think was possible!! I would 100% recommend going to this place, this team is wonderful!!
The staff and the dentist himself are amazing. Extremely helpful and understanding to my needs. Could not ask for a more kinder group of people then at the BHAD. I will definitely be back to get my dentures. Not so afraid of a dentist any longer.
We always have had a great experience with Black Hills Area Dental. Our family has been going here for 10+ years. Good service. Good location. Nice and friendly staff.
