Went here last week for x rays done and go from there. I told both office lady’s in the front that I had insurance and gave them my member ID. They “checked” in their system and apparently I had no insurance. Went to a different office today which found my insurance right away. BOCA dentist then stated after my x rays that I needed crowns & apparently I needed braces when my whole life I’ve been told my teeth are straight and my smile is a nice one lol. Red flags 🚩 I thought didn’t think nothing of it. After my visit I showed the lady my insurance card to prove I have insurance and requested a refund and to bill my insurance from there. They refused, one of them tried to hold herself from laughing with an “oh crap we messed up” expression on her face while the other one rudely stated no & said to give it to them for next visit. LOL there wasn’t going to be another visit after that. Worst part is they blamed me for their incompetence and laziness of bothering to look for my insurance. New dentist office recommended inlays as the other side of my teeth was perfectly fine and didn’t want to carve into it to apply a crown. Plus it’s CHEAPER & they did it that same visit! Also stated I didn’t not need braces what so ever and weren’t sure where previous dental office got those suggestions from. I have quite a few family members that come to BOCA and will be recommending them to leave this money grabbing dental office. Stay away from this place. I suggest you look for a dental office with a little more integrity and honesty.
Id give this place 10 stars if i could. I called to schedule an appointment i thought it would have been further out but was given one the same day as i told them the pain i was experiencing. Comes to show how compassionate they are with their patients. They are one of the very few offices in Reno that take state insurance so that is a plus. When i first walked in i was immediately greeted by the ladies in the front and made me feel welcome. Shay, Vania and Lupe were very professional, helpful and very knowledgeable. The doctor and assistants were great, very polite and explained the treatment i needed done very thoroughly. I was very ashamed with my oral hygiene but they made me feel very comfortable and even helped with my self esteem. Overall excellent service. I appreciate the team and this office very much i will recommend this place to family and friends!
The staff was friendly and professional, and Nayan Patel was especially kind and attentive. They made sure I was comfortable and explained everything clearly. Highly recommend!
Staff is courteous and professional. I was absolutely terrified of my procedure. Dentist and assistant were amazing, made me feel comfortable, answered all my questions and both were pleasant and very friendly. Made me feel at ease. I would recommend this office.
