Patient Reviews
Powered by GoogleI had a tooth extraction here this morning and the oral surgeon was excellent — professional, efficient, and made me feel comfortable during the procedure. I truly appreciate the doctor’s care. Unfortunately, my experience with the front office staff afterward was extremely disappointing. A few hours after my procedure, my mouth was still bleeding heavily, so I called the office for guidance. The woman who answered the phone repeatedly asked for my name and date of birth — three times — and even got it wrong twice. After finally confirming my information, she asked who referred me and what procedure I was looking to have done. I explained again that I had been a patient that very morning and that I was calling because I was bleeding profusely. She then asked for my name and date of birth again, asked when I came in (again, this morning), and repeatedly asked what time I removed the gauze — at least five separate times — without seeming to listen to my responses. Several times she asked a question and immediately said “hello?” before I had a chance to answer. I requested to speak to someone else because it felt like there was a clear communication issue, but instead I was placed on hold for several minutes and then returned to the same person, who asked me to repeat everything all over again. When you are actively bleeding after oral surgery, you need clear, calm guidance — not to feel unheard and dismissed. I ultimately hung up because I couldn’t get a straight answer. The surgeon was great, but the front office staff needs significant training in communication and patient support, especially when handling post-operative concerns. This experience was unacceptable. I wouldn’t come back.
10/24/25 - had an appointment to get my wisdom tooth removed and i have nothing but great things to say. i’m really appreciative that this company take’s medicaid! also nothing but professionalism from the front desk staff, work staff and to the actual oral surgeon. i forgot his name who did my wisdom tooth removal but hands down he did what needed to be done. got there at 8am sharp and was leaving out the door around 8:25. i was semi nervous in the beginning but once i got numbed up i was good to go. grabbed my meds from cvs and currently on the second day and no pain in my mouth. just rest, take prescribed medications and eat soft foods and you will be good to go! thank you for your service ☺️☺️☺️☺️
My overall experience here was mediocre. Front desk lady has poor customer service. She canny appt without me asking her too and then went back and forth with me about why she canceled it.Dr.Shin did well he was very nice. He kept me calm throughout my oral surgery (4 teeth removed). I must say it’s 5 days later and my mouth is still very sore and in pain. My throat is also swollen. No one followed up after my surgery to see how healing was going…. That odd to me.
I had a very disappointing experience at Oral Surgent. I called two days in advance to confirm that they could perform the procedure my general doctor referred me for. I was clearly told over the phone that they would be able to treat me. However, when I arrived at the office, the situation was completely different. I was rushed to sign a consent form so they could charge my insurance, even though I had not received any treatment. After I signed the form, the assistant contacted the doctor, and I was then told that he could not perform the procedure and that I needed to go to another hospital. I explained that I had called ahead specifically to confirm that they could provide the service. I also asked the assistant why I was being rushed to sign a consent form without receiving any treatment. She told me the office would use it “for the future,” which does not make sense. Consent forms should be completed at the time of treatment, not in advance without services being provided. This was the worst office experience I have ever had. The lack of communication and professionalism was very frustrating, and I would not recommend this office to others.
Everyone was so pleasant and friendly in this dental office . Destiny at the desk made the process smooth ; Dr Shin extracted a lower mollar painlessly , his nurse explained in details the post op instructions. Excellent practice !
