THIS PLACE IS NOT LGBTQIA+ FRIENDLY I had misgivings when I saw the Christian Nationalist propaganda that plastered the waiting room, which included the 10 Commandments, a poster complaining about how you "can't" post the aforementioned commandments, and portraits of several historical slave owners. I did not feel comfortable as a member of a marginalized community. I explained to them that I went by a name other than the one listed on the paperwork and that I suffer from a disability called agoraphobia. I was temporarily relieved when the staff used my preferred name, but that small comfort vanished when I met the surgeon, Clyde Marlow. He came into the room, which like the rest of the building, was full of wildly outdated and dingy equipment. Without greeting me by name, he went on a small xenophobic rant about the quality of the gloves he shoved his unwashed hands into. He then even more roughly shoved his unwashed hands into my mouth after unceremoniously ousting my friend who'd come to support me from the chair he'd been instructed to sit in. The whole time, he complained and ranted about government beurocracy while I did my best not to shrink away from him, then he wiped my saliva on my arm before taking my pulse. He talked about what I could and could not do before surgery and didn't know what I was talking about when I asked if I could still take my HRT medications. I believe he intended to treat me like he would a cis man and that isn't just insulting, it's irresponsible, unethical, and dangerous. Do not go here at all, especially if you don't fit into the imaginary, binary world that exists only in the minds of bigots and fascists.
Incredible staff and Dr. Marlow was exceptional. The office is a tad dated, but do not let that scare you off because you will be receiving the best care in middle Georgia. Dr. Marlow called personally to check on me the night after my surgery.
Dr. Marlow and his staff were very friendly, kind, and helpful. The facility was clean, the procedure went well, and I’m recovering as expected. This has been the best experience I’ve had at any medical facility. Dr. Marlow & staff truly care about their patients and will go out of their way to assure that you are comfortable and feel safe. Thank you, all, you’re the best!
What a wonderful bunch!!! I love this dentist office. It’s an office full of likable, cheerful & respectful professionals. That’s amazing, because I hated going to the dentist, until now. These folks keep you smiling no matter how bad you feel. Dr Clyde Marlow is a brilliant dentist. He’s a great guy too. He actually takes the time to sit down with you before he does any work and listen to you, as you explain the problems your having. He then examines & sits back down with you and explains in great detail what the problem is and what he plans on doing to resolve said issue. He explains the cause & effects . He explains the fix & he teaches you how to prevent this from happening again. He pulls out the books & shows you the data. He shows you the pictures & he speaks to the patient in simple, understandable terms. He makes sure you understand. When you leave this office, you are gonna feel good about the care they provided. You’ll know your money was well spent & you’ll have peace of mind knowing there’s a place like this for the next time you’re in need.
Dr Marlow and his entire staff is awesome. My father is 78 years old had 5 bottom teeth cut out and replaced with dentures on March 2, 2018. Everyone was great, follow up visit is March 9, 2018. I would recommend Dr. Marlow to everyone.
