Dr. May and his staff are talented and amazing in every way. He is the best dental implant dentist I have found and I called over 15 different offices in NYC, Boston, Rhode Island looking for a zirconia implant and this was the only office who clearly knew more about metal free implants that anyone else. The new patient team showed me before and after photos for zirconia implants, explained different ceramic implant types and also gave me prices over the phone. Their new patient team is the best and made me feel so comfortable about moving forward. I was willing to travel and so happy I Found Dr. May and his team in Connecticut. He is also a biological dentist and holistic and does root canal removals and places beautiful front teeth implants and I am sending my friend here who needs a front tooth implant there to replace her failing bridge. Dr. May is skilled, kind, smart and so honest. I didn’t know but patients from all over the country see him and I saw he does really big ceramic implant cases - I was so impressed with the upbeat and warm and friendly staff and Dr. May’s experience and skill. My implant placement was really smooth, very little pain after, and the team did a stellar job following up. I had a ceramic dental implant placed by Dr. May and it was such an easy and excellent experience. After seeing multiple dentist about my titanium implant, everyone kept telling me the dental implant was fine. But I had aches, pressure pain and it just didn’t feel right. After finding ceramic implant centre I drove to Connecticut and Dr. May spent 2 hours with me and showed me bone loss and I had an allergic intolerance. I was also able to have 2 infected root canals diagnoses and had one surgery to remove the titanium implant and infected root canals. Dr. May explained that zirconia Dental implants are metal free and showed me which type he will place and made beautiful temporary crowns while I was healing. He really knows what he’s doing and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. The staff is wonderful and answered all my questions - in fact they even pushed my surgery off so I can get my vitamin levels up so I know they care more about my well-being then just scheduling procedures and sticking in dental implants which is what some dentists I went to wanted to do. I felt so prepared and I healed so fast. I referred my cousin and sister in law and they have loved their experience too. Please consider ceramic implant center and Dr. May if you need dental implants - he’s really wonderful and talented and I’m so glad I found him.
I had researched zirconia dental implants for at least 6 months before making my decision to travel from New York (over 2.5 hours) to have them done at Ceramic Implant Institute. I knew I only wanted metal-free implants and needed at least 3 zirconia implants and had oral surgeons try to talk me into titanium implants for years. Best decision ever was finding Dr. May and his ceramic implant clinic. I had several extractions, PRF natural grafting and 4 zirconia implants placed in a single surgery - my wife came with me and it was a smooth experience. The recovery was way less than expected, minimal swelling no antibiotics, and no pain meds were needed - I felt great and back at work day 2 after surgery. I specifically wanted the top dentist who is an expert in zirconia implants and after research I found it. The thing is, regular oral surgeons and periodontists place mostly titanium implants, so I did not want to be an experiment for them with a ceramic implant. In contrast, Ceramic Implant clinic ONLY places zirconia implants and have done thousands, so Dr. May really knows what he is doing and its his specialty. From the start of my first interaction with the office, the exceptionally comprehensive new patient evaluation appointment, I have to say no stone was left unturned. In that appointment I learned more about my issues and received more more detailed information than I had from my 3 oral surgery consults within the last 6 months. I was waiting to write the review and now its been 4 months since implants were placed and I'm going back for my crowns. We were so impressed with Dr. May, the beautiful clinic, and Dr. May's ceramic implant specialty that my wife is going to see him next. Highly recommend for any New York, New Jersey neighbors.
