I just had my wisdom teeth out today, and this clinic made me feel comfortable (I was pretty nervous) and made it easy. Dr. Morio was really nice and took the time to answer all my questions, was professional, and quick. If you're a nervous nelly like me, these are the people for you. They are great at making you feel at ease and are very kind. My *only* recommendation is calling in peoples' meds shortly before the surgery so that we can pick them up beforehand for people like me who are out-of-towners.
Everyone i met was great. They started my IV without any problem. Had me ready for my surgery and prepared me how things would go. I don't remember much after the surgery. I don't even remember much of the ride home. I slept the rest of the day and night away. I didn't wake up until 11 am the next morning.
If you’re considering getting your wisdom teeth pulled in the vicinity this is the office to choose. Beforehand, I didn’t know what to fully expect since I’d never had a teeth pulled before, but I’m happy I was referred here. I was immediately scheduled for an appointment date within 2 weeks of calling, they ran my insurance, then gave me a quote, (the final out of pocket price ended up being cheaper than the quoted price, which is always great.) On the day of the procedure, the front desk & nurses were all very warm. They answered all my questions & explained everything with ease. Dr. Frerichs showed me my xrays & explained the procedure to me, which I really appreciated. The actual procedure was over in the blink of an eye. 😂 I don’t remember much after, but I remember one of the nurses staying with me until I was safely in the car. Prescriptions were immediately available for pickup at a local pharmacy. I had a concern with one of the pain medications prescribed causing stomach pain, and then another medication question on the weekend, and both times I called in I was immediately assisted by both a nurse & Dr. Frerichs. It truly is an above and beyond experience! I think I had a more difficult removal since one of my teeth had cracked beforehand, but I don’t consider the healing to have been more difficult than standard. Overall, my healing went incredibly well with the care provided. I was so concerned I’d give myself dry socket 😂 but no such issues occurred! Quite a few people remarked on how well I was able to talk compared to when they’d gotten theirs pulled at other places, which I took as a job well done by Dr. Frerichs! Tips: Make sure the person you have with you can help you get your prescriptions if the anesthesia is still wearing off. Then make sure they can help you take the correct ones as prescribed. Also eating bananas can help coat your stomach and fill you up before you can eat more solid food again. Based on my experience I’d recommend anyone & everyone here. I thank God I got the procedure here.
I had a loose post that had become painful. After a referral, l met Dr Morio who scheduled removal. One week later I walked in and was taken into the suite. An IV was placed, I took a short nap, and went home. Absolutely no complications, no pain, and complete relief. Thank you Dr Morio and staff. Your services are highly recommended.
I definitely recommend Dental Implant & Oral Surgery Specialists of Iowa. My most recent visit was with Dr. Will Morio. Dr. Morio and the entire staff were wonderful. The entire process was seemless from the time i walked in the door until I left. Dr. Morio took the time to explain the procedure in depth and what i can expect post surgery. He called me the next day to see how I was doing. That was very much appreciated as I did have a question. Dr. Will Morio at Dental Implant & Oral Surgery Specialists of Iowa will be my "go to" should I need an oral surgeon in the future.
