I was referred to Dr. Schacht's office for the extraction of a molar and draining an abscess (related to the molar). The office staff was able to slot me in for this emergent issue and the tooth was extracted and abscess drained. The post-procuedure care and instructions were detailed and Dr. Schacht texted me that evening to followup. I saw him three weeks later for a bone graft + PRP procedures and his medical assistants were very organized pre-procedure and the procedure was seamless. Sent home with detailed post-care instructions and Dr. Schacht followed up that evening. Excellent care, detailed plan of care across several visits, and helpful office staff.
Dr. Schacht is a great surgeon with amazing bedside manner. I had a front tooth implant that took multiple procedures. It was finalized a little over a year ago and I’ve had no issues since. However, Dr. Schacht’s excellence is overshadowed by the inefficiency of the office. There were many times when my appointments were scheduled incorrectly, and I almost always had to initiate scheduling or call to confirm. Simple administrative tasks were done incorrectly or not at all. Even during my long bone graft surgery I felt the effects of the disorganization of the office. At one point, technicians couldn’t locate specific tools that were necessary, so Dr. Schacht had to pause to help, extending my procedure further. Now, I have been trying to get the office to send my records and any imaging from my 2-year long implant process. It has been 10 days of emails and calls with no records received still. It’s frustrating to experience administrative issues like these with all of the technology tools available to assist.
The staff was very informative and helpful since it was my first time with oral surgery in a very long time. They were accommodating and even asked if I wanted to listen to music during the procedure, and they did. Also responsive for questions after the surgery. Would recommend.
Dr Schacht is an amazing doctor. He was very polite at bedside as well as in the clinic. He treated me and my fiancé with dignity and respect. I appreciate what he did for him. He literally saved his life from an infection that was borderline sepsis.
Dr Schacht pays a lot of attention to detail, and provides very good play-by-play info during procedures.
