I was referred here due to an abscess that developed after a root canal 10 years ago. I went in and they treated my abscess. However a couple months after the procedure I started to have pain again in that tooth. I called them to try and get in to be evaluated. The secretary just told me to take some more antibiotics but that there’s nothing they could do and that I’d need to have my tooth removed. I asked if I could see Dr. Bethers who had performed my procedure to take a look at it. She said “I’m sorry we’re booked out for a year and we’ve been swamped. But I’ll leave him a message to call you.” I waited weeks with no call from the doctor. I called, texted and emailed. I was finally told by the secretary that he wasn’t going to call me because there’s nothing he could do. I’m 32 and the sound of losing a tooth at this age was a little alarming. Especially when it’s coming from a secretary with no medical expertise. And the doctor refused to speak with me. The secretary then sent me an email referring me to an oral surgeon. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable from the doctor. I appreciate the secretaries trying to help, they personally don’t have any control over the doctors. I am an RN and I work with excellent doctors every day in a specialty clinic. Therefore I hold a very high standard. I would not recommend Dessert Endodontics. I did not feel that the physician cared at all about my worries or my tooth. All I wanted was a conversation to explain his opinion and to see if there was any way they could take another X-ray or evaluate me at the very least. But I guess they are too busy. I would recommend to go elsewhere.
Worked with Dr. Bethers on just one tooth for around a year. He took the time and wanted to make sure he did the right thing. You can tell he cares about each patient and wants what’s best for them unlike other providers who treat dental care as a revolving door. The staff were respectful and fun to be around and make the atmosphere a lot less nerve racking like people make root canals out to be this awful thing. 10/10 recommended!
Omg!!!!!! No one wants a root canal. However, if you need one? You need to come see Hunter Housley! I literally fell asleep!!! During a ROOT CANAL!!! I am a big chicken when it comes to any kind of dental work and I was so nervous. But, I fell asleep. Literally fell asleep. These guys are the best ever!
Dr. Bethers has saved several of my teeth from extraction, and he’s so gentle I can sleep on the chair. I won’t go anywhere else for a root canal.
Wow. I am super impressed with Desert Endodontics. Dr. Bethers was phenomenal! He greeted us warmly and his assistant Nicole was friendly and encouraging. My 14 y.o. son was super nervous to get his root canal done. Dan & Nicole were so gentle and kind with him. It was such a relief for this mama’s heart! He explained what he was doing and was very thorough with my son. We felt well taken care of and I would definitely go back. Highly recommend! Thank you Dan and Nicole!!
