TRUST is the word. This was my first time having dental surgery (4 removals, 3 implants) and I'm very content with my healing process. The staff: thoughtful and accommodating. (A nurse even offered me one of their personal soft snacks, bc they didn't have one for my condition... so kind.) You'll be safe here. I feel safe going, leaving, and coming back. Don't be too afraid to get your smile back. I'm happy I did it.
Dr Porter and his great team provide excellent customer service in the kind, patient, knowledgeable, skilled fashion of a well tuned machine! My experience, with the recent implantation of six posts was very pleasant, efficient, and very pain-free. Great location with adequate free shaded parking just off I-26 in Charleston, SC. I was very pleased with the team, the teams individual skill sets, and warm-heartedness. A professional, highly recommendable, top-notch Oral & Maxillofacial experience. Really!
I've used this practice now for two procedures. A dyed-in-the-wool dentophobe, having dental work done is a terrifying endeavor for me. However, this practice made it a comfortable and fairly pain-free process. Having the benefit of IV sedation is a true blessing. The staff is exceptionally well trained, friendly, helpful, accommodating and considerate of my time, I had a particularly positive experience with the nurse who administered the sedation. Dr. Porter was slightly delayed for the procedure and she kept me busy chatting so my anxiety didn't amp up. Dr. Porter took time to explain everything to me so there were no surprises. The charges and payment schedule were explained in detail so, again, no surprises. At the time of the first extraction, the staff went out of their way to get the surgery done and get me out the door to make it to another appointment across town on time. Kudos to this well-oiled machine!
Just had my wisdom tooth extraction here today. Felt right at home and so comfortable. Everyone working here goes out of their way to ensure your comfort and is absolutely willing to answer any questions you might have about anything concerning your procedures. Dr. Porter is a very good surgeon and I know it's literally not even 24 hours since I underwent my surgery but really and truly, I felt so comfortable before and after the surgery. Thank you for your hard and dedicated work, it means a lot. To anyone looking at reviews of OMSA to see if it's a good place to go for your oral surgery needs, take it from me that you're in great hands!
Dr Porter and everyone at his practice offered best in class care. I could not have been more nervous about my visit but the whole team made me feel at ease. Mine was an emergency visit and I was truly grateful that Dr Porter found a way to see me when most services around town were shut down.
