I cannot recommend Dr. Semmel highly enough! From the very first consultation to the follow-up appointment, the entire experience was exceptional. The doctor was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in explaining the procedure, which immediately put me at ease. I was lucky enough to be one of his last patient before he retired. I was so happy I was able to find a surgeon with that much experience! Not to mention he and his staff created an amazing office/atmosphere. The surgery went very smoothly, and I was amazed at how comfortable and well cared for I felt throughout the entire process. I only had to take ibuprofen for a couple days, which was amazing! I also have to give special recognition to Heather, his lead dental assistant, who was absolutely amazing. She stayed on top of every detail, checked in regularly, and made sure everything was running smoothly at all times. She texted/called daily once the procedure was done. Her attentiveness, organization, and genuine kindness made such a difference and helped ease any nerves I had. She was clearly the one behind the scenes running the practice. My recovery was much easier than I expected, thanks to the clear instructions and thoughtful follow-up care. I’m beyond grateful for the outstanding care! Thank you Dr. Semmel and enjoy retirement!
If you’ve ever wanted to feel like royalty while getting a tooth yanked out of your head, look no further than Dr. Semmel and his amazing assistant Shannon! I came in with a root canal gone rogue a true troublemaker of a toothand left feeling surprisingly cared for (and only mildly betrayed by my own mouth). Dr. Semmel worked his magic with skill and calm, and Shannon was an absolute gem. She was so kind, empathetic, and made sure I understood everything before and after the procedure. Her care and humor made an unpleasant situation almost… dare I say… enjoyable? If you have to lose a tooth, this is definitely the dream team you want by your side. Thank you, Dr. Semmel and Shannon, for turning a dental disaster into a surprisingly positive experience! 🦷💪😁
Dr.Semmel and all of his staff are amazing. I went in to get my third molar removed and they made the experience nothing but great. I followed all of the after care steps and in less than 2 weeks my extraction was fully healed and closed. Everyone was very kind and attentive from start to finish and I am very pleased with my whole experience. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen!
Dr. Semmel and his staff are exceedingly kind, caring and professional.On a recent visit, the procedure was completed in less than an hour, I experienced no pain,swelling or discomfort during or after the procedure. Dr Semmel is the best in the area for dental needs.
My wife has had two procedures done by doctor semmel. After her second implant we moved to Hawaii because of the military. Her implant became infected and they immediately blamed her even though she followed all after care steps religiously. Doctor Semmel told us that his work is guaranteed and that he would fix any problems. No oral surgeon in Hawaii would touch the implant so we had to send my wife home from Hawaii to have it fixed. Once she returned to Hawaii it became infected again and bone fragments were coming out of her gums. Once again they blamed her and were very rude. She went home again and they finally fixed the issue begrudgingly. After that it was ok but we were out of several thousand dollars. We later changed stations back to North Carolina and my wife's tooth became loose. Dr semmel refused to fix it without payment even though he guaranteed his work that cost $5000 and also cost us multiple flights home. The front desk people told us it would take an hour and he wouldn't be making money during that. To me that is a pretty pathetic response. Dr semmel does not seem to care about his patients only about getting as much money as possible.
