Powered by GoogleI am a retired dentist. James Miller is the intentionally chosen dentist for my husband and myself. We understand first hand the depth of his knowledge and the capability and capacity of his extensive skill set as he was an instructor in implant and soft tissue grafting surgery classes that I took over a period of five years. We travel 240+ miles each way to obtain our dental services, this requires extensive effort on our part but we understand the difference of private vs corporate care. We desire top tier health care, and there is no question in our mind that James and his team are able to deliver that.
Wow - where to start? I started seeing Dr. Miller five plus years (or more) ago when I heard a commercial regarding being THE dentist for all the "chicken" patients. I told Dr. Miller that we will work unless he hurts me in ANY way. He agreed to the partnership and the journey began. Not sure what year but after 2016. I told him I did not like my smile and was aware I had no enamel left on my teeth and had two noticeable gaps in my teeth. We made a long-term plan and started with the basics. He NEVER pressured me to start reconstruction or anything that I could not afford or was comfortable with. We took it in steps throughout half a decade. Once my mouth was healthy and devoid of cavities etc., we started with gum grafts to repair my exposed roots. I had at least four surgeries. Dr. Miller and his team worked with my budget and timeline. Never did I feel like he was like a car salesman trying to make a fast commission. No bum rush. Fast forward to 2024.... I made the choice to undergo full mouth reconstruction in 2024. My gums were surgically restored to full health from Dr. Miller. Dentists previously had recommended that I have all of my non-enamel teeth removed (which was all of them), get implants and permanent dentures. Fast and cheap in their words. Dr. Miller disagreed. He recommended no implants, saving all my teeth (which ere healthy) and replacing a bunch of broken crowns with new crowns. The only question was what color and what about the remaining teeth with no enamel? I underwent three invasive oral surgeries to fully restore my mouth. I had all broken crowns replaced and the rest of my teeth sealed with veneers. Yes - it came with a cost. However, I cannot express in words the pride and self-confidence I feel now after never smiling for forty years since I was 18 and my smile declined quickly. My bite was properly aligned and two large gaps were filled. No implants and no dentures. The surgeries were easy, comfortable and painless. I elected for conscious sedation on all surgeries and truthfully it was a weird experience but well worth the cost. I was aware of what was going on but did not care. Perfect. I NEVER felt any pain and Dr. Miller and the attending surgical staff did whatever was needed to keep me comfortable. I cannot recommend Dr. Miller enough to anyone and everyone. He will work with your budget, on your time and he IS the dentist's dentist. He has patients internationally who fly in to see him alone. The staff is amazing and I cannot speak well enough about Linda. I do not work for Dr. Miller or represent his practice. I am not a planted shill. I am just a patient who came out the other side with an amazing smile, healthy teeth that has changed everything. I need to say for the record that you can go to a cattle call dental practice (I used to) and be just another number. If you take your car to an "everything" shop - you will get discounted service and about par workmanship. If you own a Toyota and take your car to a Toyota dealership - you will get trained and skilled technicians that work on Toyota's day in and day out. Experience comes with a cost folks but it is so worth it to invest in yourself. There is a reason why you may get four drastically different quotes to restore your mouth. From "Teeth In A Day" to whatever. Your teeth need to last a lifetime. The investment I made in myself was the best investment and money I ever spent. Hire the absolute best in the only set of teeth you have. Dr. Miller is not only the best but trains and educates the best. You matter at his practice.
A few years ago, I met Dr. Miller in his practice to get advice on dental implants. For that visit, I paid over $360. In that appointment, I was quoted $26k+ for the work I was going to receive. Finally, after checking my options and meeting a few other doctors, I decided to begin the procedure with Dr. Miller. And yesterday, Feb 28th, 2024. naturally, I called Doctor Miller's office to make another appointment, and the girl on the phone demanded over $519 for the initial visit. I explained the situation and told her that I was a returning patient. However, knowing there was a high possibility of making over $25k from me, she still demanded $519. I do not refuse to pay, but you should not almost double your initial exam fees for the same service the other doctors in the Portland area offer for free.
I am so very happy working with Dr Miller and his team. They are gentle, professional, and experts in modern dentistry. I am having lots of work done including implants on the upper/lower back of the mouth. They saved my front teeth. I had gone else where for estimates where they wanted to just remove all my teeth, without looking at options. Dr Milller also works on my budget and my time line, not pressuring me to do it all at once. They are the best!
My entire family has been going to Dr. Miller for years and he has always provided us with excellent dental care. You can really tell Dr. Miller is a dentistry genius and stays on the cutting edge of modern dentistry. But he's also a very kind doctor who goes above and beyond for his patients like their his own family.
