Patient Reviews
Powered by GoogleIn reference to the negative root canal review: He no longer does root canals at all he refers them out to a specialist. Excellent dentist fixed the mistakes of my other dentist with no problems. Excellent crown work my crown tooth feels exactly like my real tooth! I went to a dentist in the Willamette valley and am having issues with that filling at the moment. NONE OF DR MACATEES WORK on my teeth hurt at all ever! A turkey one and done dentist. He’s a big fan of using plenty of anesthetic to ensure you don’t feel any pain with his work.
No stars if I had a choice. Substandard dentistry. Chipped tooth while trying to fix another. Then tried to grind it down to make the same size as the other one. Probably wouldn't of minded if it weren't my two front teeth. Now left with one misshaped tooth and a chip in the other. Going to cost me thousands of dollars to fix. Put in metal fillings without giving me any options. I would have paid not to have metal fillings. He charged me to have them changed. Dentist fired me as his patient due to my review and kept my $60 after my insurance had paid it already. Lol.
Dr. Jeffery McAtee performed root canals on the roots supplying two lower front teeth (22 and 23) when I was a child. At 19, I began seeing a new dentist in The Willamette Valley and expressed that there was occasional sensitivity, days of aching pain in the 22 and 23 region on our initial visit. The Willamette Valley dentist inquired who had performed the root canals on 22 and 23 as they were done "very poorly." He proceeded to illustrate, using my X-Rays as support, how the root canals performed did not extend the length of the canal space, leaving "almost a millimeter" of space for bacteria to grow, flourish at times. The dormant infection caused by the bacteria in this space has resulted in pain, bone loss at the jaw that will eventually require highly invasive and expensive corrective surgery. Since speaking with the Willamette Valley dentist who informed me I had "one of the worst root canals he had ever seen," I have had three separate DMD's, an endodontist and periodontist express alarm over such, with the most recent stating, "You would have near perfect teeth with the exception of that root canal." Recently, a family member still seeking Dr. McAtee's services (I have opted out since 19) was informed by a third party dental professional that they too had received the cut too short root canal special courtesy of Dr. McAtee. Dr. McAtee's solution for this family members complaints of sensitivity, pain over the years was doses of antibiotics--antibiotics of course being a quick fix solution, a strategy to temporarily quell the dormant infection, the dormant infection of course being a long-term problem associated with Dr. McAtee's quick fix services. May this review serve helpful in your selection of a Klamath Basin dentist, in avoiding the root (canal) of the problem that may be yours in choosing Dr. McAtee.
Dr. Mac Atee was so professional & HONEST! Fixed my tooth the simplest and cheapest way. He didn't try and do something that wasn't necessary to just make money. Highly recommend him.
I have a big fear of the dentist. They put me at ease and it was the best experience I have ever had. They also are very reasonably priced.
