Dr. Fowlkes is a great oral surgeon! He is very nice and knowledgeable. I put off having my wisdom teeth extracted my whole life because I was terrified of the procedure. Also, with one of those teeth sitting on top of a nerve made me worry about the risk of nerve damage. My teeth started causing problems, so I couldn’t put it off anymore. I had all four wisdom teeth extracted, and it took about 20 minutes. He made the decision to remove my whole tooth that was close to the nerve instead of partially removing it, and it is perfectly fine! No nerve damage whatsoever. I was so relieved! I did get an infection on one my surgery sites after which can happen with these procedures. He personally called me to check on me, and then he got me in right away to clean the infection out. I felt better immediately after! I highly recommend Dr. Fowlkes! He really cares about his patients. I really appreciate all he did for me! His staff is also very nice and helpful!
I really enjoyed my experience with Dr. Fowlkes. The idea of any type of dental work usually gives me high anxiety. Dr Fowlkes changed that for me. He made me feel very comfortable and safe from the minute we met at my consultation all of the way through to the last post-op.
Dr. Fowlkes was very kind and caring! Him and his nurses took the time to explain every step of my procedure to me and all of my options. They never rushed through my appointment to get to the next appointment and answered every question or concern I had at the time. Dr. Fowlkes and his nurses even called me at home to check on me after my surgery! I was treated like family :)
Dr. Fowlkes is an all around great guy and an even better doctor. He knows what he is doing and he does it very well. You get the whole package with Dr. Fowlkes; the professionalism and knowledge that you would expect from a surgeon but also the comfort and kindness you want in a friend.
I was somewhat apprehensive about the entire surgical aspect of my son having his wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Fowlkes and his team made my son and I feel comfortable and confident that everything would be fine. I highly recommend Dr. Fowlkes and the entire staff.
