Stay away from this place at all costs i have a dental plan that they do not accept as well as state dental insurance and i was very clear with my needs over the phone prior to my appointment they said they could do it all as well as help with reimbursement and upon arrival the lady said oh i know we told you we could help you get reimbursed but that was a lie we really cant help you . If you need major surgery and sedation DO NOT GO HERE ... the office isn't even fully set up they dont have chairs in half the rooms ... the place is still under major construction very unsanitary. The rooms that do have chairs have poles directly in front of the dental chairs that are cut to ankle height and taped shut with yellow tape that are major trip hazards and I watch the dentist almost trip several times within 5 minutes.... The place in its whole is a haphazard trash piled up outside and boxes laying around everywhere. They are under construction and decided to have an inspector come in during the time of my appointment made me wait and upon having me wait the lady came out very unprofessional and told me he had another meeting at the same time as me and I would have to wait and that hopefully he could still see me today depending on what time he finished. Once she finally brought me back he told me ill have to go to the emergency room and have them drill a hole into the side of my face to drain bc he cant touch my teeth today due to the fact that hes not legally approved to sedate anyone yet . He then proceeded to push all over my face and I tried to get up and leave and the lady made multiple attempts to block the door to stop me from me from leaving upon me getting to the main office she proceeds to follow me out very unprofessionally after me asking her several times to leave me alone and go away she continues to act belligerent and yell over me in my face right in front of my 2 year old daughter and tells me what I need to understand about their office and that even if they were fully open the order of their handling isn't to go into surgery after consult they usually send patients home . I have NEVER been to an oral surgeon that would do that to someone in my condition . Do not waste your time with these people
I had a wonderful experience at this oral surgery practice. Dr. Kim was professional, knowledgeable, and made sure I understood every step of my treatment - he truly put me at ease. His assistant Josie was fantastic as well - attentive, kind and great at answering questions. The front desk, especially Cassandra, was welcoming and efficient from check-in to check-out. The entire team made a stressful situation feel comfortable, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of oral surgery care!
I have been a patient of Dr. Kims for many years. Over the years I have been treated for implants and other medical conditions. Dr. Kim is extremely knowledgeable, professional and listens to all my concerns. Several months ago, I had an infection, called his office right before Christmas and was seen immediately. Dr. Kim treated the site, prescribed medication and a two-week follow-up and the next steps to the healing process. During Covid, I was in the middle of being treated for an implant. Due to the restrictions going into place, he called me to make sure the tooth was removed and I would not be in any pain. He scheduled my procedure immediately and I was so grateful that the tooth was extracted and the first stage of recovery was done. Every visit has been extremely pleasant, and I always look forward to chatting with the wonderful staff, especially Josie. After all my procedures, especially under sedation, I have received a call from the office checking to see how I am feeling and if I have any concerns. Dr. Kim has recently moved and even though the distance is further, I will continue to stay with Dr. Kim and his team. His new environment is wonderful. As with any new establishment, it takes time to have all the necessary equipment to serve his patients with the best medical care possible. Very recently, I went for a checkup to see how things were healing. It was great to see his new office and to get a tour of what is to come. The new staff is wonderful, caring, and professional. Dr Kim and his office staff are incredibly compassionate and good at their job. I have major dental anxiety, and they were able to put me at ease. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming, Dr. Kim and his assistant were gentle and understanding. I received successful treatment with minimal pain. I absolutely would return to their office in the future.
My youngest daughter has needed multiple baby teeth extracted. She has anxiety and was nervous the first time, but Dr. Kim put her right at ease. She said she experienced less pain with Dr. Kim's extractions than her pediatric dentist's. We went back to him for two more extractions and she was never nervous again. Josie always greeted her with a warm and inviting smile, and she was comfortable and confident in Dr. Kim's chair. She healed quickly all three times. These experiences were at Dr. Kim's previous location in Prince Frederick, and my daughter has made it clear that she wants to make the drive to continue seeing Dr. Clay Kim at his new location when the next extractions are needed! A 9 and 10-year old repeat patient with no reservations says all you need to know.
