Powered by GoogleFrom North Dakota and was down in Elko for personal matters and decided I needed to get my front 6 teeth fixed. I call them in the morning they told me they had a cancellation and asked me to come in that day for a quick exam. I was very emotional and the staff was amazing! After the exam I told the Dr I was only in town that week so I was hoping he could get me in soon. I explained I had no insurance… I had lost my job also from the personal things I was going through at the time. I explained I only had so much on my HSA card and a friend was going to borrow me some money too. I asked the Dr to at least fix what I could pay for and he went back to his computer messed with some numbers and came back. He had changed and given me such a great price I was able to pay for all 6 to be taken care of. I asked when he wanted me to come back to get the work done and they told me they would do it right now. So I was in and out with new teeth and my self esteem boosted … this Dr and staff touched my heart!! They didn’t have to help me. I’m forever great full
This dentist is absolutely amazing!! They make you very comfortable and take great care of you. I messed up my appointment dates showed up a day early and they did not hesitate to help me and was able to get me in.
These guys are way too busy to answer the phone but when you finally get in theres this expensive looking "standing orbital x-ray machine" that's totally pointless as you sit down and take all the regular x-rays anyway. Mr Personality arrives and ignores everything you say like "no I don't want a crown on that nor can I afford it and I also don't want an unnessary root canal that he said was "close to needing one" not actually needing one. Estimates were incredible, I welcome you to go in and laugh in his face.
Poor crown quality with poor craftsmanship and disregard for service if something fails after visit. I received an in house made crown at Dr Chamberlain’s practice around June of 2022 after one I had for 12+ years failed. I thought it was convenient to have one machined out right there and the whole thing took a couple hours and I was done. Well that is a mistake I hope all others will avoid. My crown lasted January 2023 before cracking and breaking. I went back to Elko Dental Care and they apologized and claimed this never happened before. I got checked out and scheduled for a new one. The Dr said he would take care of it all. Well I still got an invoice for the visit (not the crown). Well that one lasted about 7 months a broke again. At this time I had accepted a position in Phoenix so between moving and finding another dental office I lapsed until March 2024 I was able to get it fixed. I contacted Dr chamberlain’s office and sent copies of report and invoice for reimbursement for the new crown and “they would look into it”. Via email back they denied any claim. But hey, the staff was great while I was there getting inferior service! Just avoid that practice.
First, let me say the staff was very nice and polite. I was seen on time with no issues. My issue is the sales pressure for the “deep cleaning” that has crept into almost every dental office in the last decade. And Elko Dental Care was no exception. Is there a time and place for the deep cleaning? Of course. It’s a legit procedure. Does every patient need it every time? No. It’s a cash grab for the office. It’s not covered by your insurance and will likely run between $250-$500. I am blessed with good teeth. I take good care of my mouth. I’m 55. I have all my teeth. No cavities since I was a teen. And without fail, every dentist I’ve seen in the last decade has pressured me for this deep cleaning, even when I’d just had one the year before. Elko Dental Care went to another level, trying to convince me that the standard cleaning could actually be bad for me. They then had me sign an AMA waiver in order for them to do the standard cleaning. Then they told me that they would only do the standard cleaning this one time. Next time, I’d have to get the deep cleaning. Don’t worry; there won’t be a next time.
