Powered by GoogleI can’t say I’ve ever had a pleasant visit to the dentist…until today. The folks at Evergreen Dental in Palmer, each and every one, were not only pleasant, but highly competent skill-wise, but knowledgeable too. It did not take me long to realize I had found the right dentist. To Dr. Bowen and staff: You got it right!
If I could give 10 stars I would. Dr. Bowen, Georgia, Monica and Kristin were absolutely magnificent. Best dental experience I’ve ever had. I’ve already told two people about it. Thank you Evergreen Dental. You Rock! Very Respectfully, Bruce
I am a Palmer local for over 50 years. I don't see the dentist anymore because Medicare doesn't cover it. I had a terrible ordeal on Dec 30 and needed help. Pioneer Peak Dental Center is mere blocks from me. Their promise of immediately available dental emergency care turned out that the "emergency" would would have to wait util Jan 5...6 days...even though they were open. The pain was immense and couldn't wait...5 days??? 👎👎 Called Evergreen Dental at 10:15 that morning and was in the chair by 11. Dr Bowen had to do a difficult extraction of a molar on an infected bone. Procedure was done within 90 minutes and I was home and on the way to being pain-free. I go back in 7 days for stitches removal...that would be 2 days AFTER Pioneer Peak would have even LOOKED at it....the "emergency". No dental clinic should offer free emergency attention and then expect you to wait 6 days when you're in excruciating pain. Palmer is a small town and that gets around. Evergreen Dental, Dr, Casey Bowen, his assistant Jorja, and the lovely ladies in the front office are a prefect example of small-town Palmer. Dr Bowen is now my go-to dentist and will recommend his to anyone needing good dental care. Even my roommate will be going there from now on. A too-lengthy ramble from me here, but if you need a good office that stands behind their promises...go here, They're fabulous!
I made my appointment back in September and clearly told the office that I had Delta Dental of Alaska, effective 10/1/25. Not once did anyone mention that they were out of network. I came in for my appointment on 10/14 for an exam and X-rays, assuming everything would be covered normally. When I checked out, I was unexpectedly told I owed $130. The front desk staff tried to convince me that my insurance would’ve made me pay 100% of the visit even if they were in-network — which simply isn’t true. To make things worse, I was quoted $266 for a regular cleaning (for a healthy mouth) or $250 for exam, x-rays and cleaning if I signed up for their in-office discount plan — basically the same as paying cash. As someone who worked in dentistry for 8 years, I can confidently say this was misleading and completely avoidable. I specifically purchased private dental insurance to save money, not to be surprised with out-of-network charges after the fact. When I asked why no one mentioned it before my visit, I was told they “didn’t know my insurance until that day,” yet they also admitted they knew they didn’t accept it. I left feeling scammed and disappointed. A simple phone call or email could’ve prevented this. Patients deserve transparency before sitting in the chair — not a surprise bill afterward.
I was greeted once I stepped in the office. Promptly taking in for my appointment. The assistant was very friendly and gentle. The dentist addressed my concern. He was thorough, professional and informative. Upon leaving my treatment and benifits were explained. Painless all the way through. I highly recommend Evergreen dental
