Powered by GoogleMy dentist recommended a procedure that was recommended but not required. I had dental insurance and decided to go ahead with it. Fairbanks periodontal did not do a pre-authorization, my insurance company did not cover it, and I ended up with a an $1,100 outstanding bill. (I had already paid $750). When I asked why they didn't pre-authorize they said it was my responsibility to ask them to do that. I've never had to ask another dentist or doctor to pre-authorize. Had I known it wouldn't be covered I wouldn't have had the procedure done. I then asked if they could reduce the bill because the pre-authorization was not done, I am on a fixed income and would have a difficult time paying it. They flat out refused and sent me to collections. VERY poor customer service!
Paid for an evaluation for a service in Anchorage, but they stopped providing services in Anchorage and didn’t inform me of this at the time of the evaluation and still charged me $375 for the evaluation. No mention during the consultation that they would be discontinuing service in Anchorage. I paid the bill and went to schedule service when they informed me they would no longer be operating in Anchorage, but could still provide the service if I wanted to drive up to Fairbanks. The receptionist had very bad customer service and wouldn’t acknowledge that they didn’t communicate this to me at any time.
The Fairbanks periodontal Practice staff was very welcoming and their new office space was warmed by the sunshine and fall weather! Debbie, Crystal and Dr. Webster were attentive to my Peridontal needs. They put me at ease, by answering questions I had and provided informative videos on implants and replacement devices. I have a long way to go in my treatment but feel assured I’m in good hands!
I went in for periodontal surgery and was so nervous. Although I have had mouth procedures before, I was not wanting the surgery, however Dr. Weber and her team was professional and intentional. Moreover, the service was quick! Today is day 2 and I feel great. Thank you!
I was not at all pleased with the service by Dr. Webster; horrible bedside manner. I would give 0 stars if I could! I went in on a consult from my dentist not knowing what to expect. When I arrived the assistant at the front counter was very cordial and gave me a tablet to sign in. Upon entering the examination area, I was prepped and photos were taken, then I was given a video to watch instead of an actual consultation from Dr. Webster. Unfortunately not only did the doctor not take the time to review why I had the consult or what I could expect, she also did not inform me of what would happen during the examination or what information would be gained from it. Without any warning, Dr. Webster proceeded to painfully poke at my gums to take measurements. She then informed me that a few teeth would need to be removed and that a "special" deep cleaning would be needed to get my gums back to normal. This special cleaning could only be done at their office as it was not the same as what a dentist does and it would be 3 cleanings and cost approx. $4,000.00. Plus, I was charged almost $600 for one initial examination, when I also have insurance. Worst & most expensive experience ever. I since went to another periodontist who is SOOOOO much more friendly, informative & affordable.
