The staff are welcoming and pleasant. It's wonderful to feel confident and comfortable with dental treatment. I was very happy with my experience at Familia Dental. I was a walk-in patient, and they were able to see me with little wait time. The staff and doctor were so nice and they took time to explain what I needed and answered all my questions.
I’ve been going to this office for a while and always had good experiences. I even got my husband to become a patient because I liked the doctor. Unfortunately, my most recent appointment was extremely disappointing. My appointment was at 9:30. I arrived early, checked in, and gave my insurance cards and told her one of them was a virtual one and she said it was fine they had it on file, she didn’t need to see it. No one told me there was an issue, yet two 10:00 patients were taken before me. When I asked, I was told they were “verifying my insurance,” but no one had asked me anything or informed me there was a problem. Only after I explained I had another important appointment did they finally ask to see the card on my phone (apparently they had the wrong policy number which didn’t make sense because it was the same card I showed them a month prior) and they finally took me back around 10:09. By 10:20, I was still sitting in the chair without being seen, so I left. When I called later to reschedule for the next day (since I had already taken time off and driven an hour), I was told there were no openings and was spoken to with attitude. I was also told it “wasn’t their fault” because I left, and that they had called days earlier about insurance — even though when I returned their call, no issue was mentioned, and nothing was said when I checked in (even though according to her it was in the notes). I requested a call from the manager and never received one. What it really felt like was this: unless they are certain they’re going to get paid, they won’t see you, even if you’re an established patient who showed up early and followed all the instructions. This experience showed a lack of communication and accountability, and unfortunately they lost two patients because of it, which is disappointing because the doctor is good.
As someone who fears dental visits it went so smooth. I asked the dentist if it would hurt, he said " it won't hurt you won't feel anything , not on my watch" that made me feel secure . So the dentist numbed me and everything was done quickly! The dentist assistant and front desk personal were helpful and sweet. Highly recommend!
My experience at this dental office was perfect. No pain. I had a tooth pulled. It didn’t hurt even the shot. The numbing shots didn’t hurt. The staff was awesome. That Doctor was nice.
