"Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the specialty of dentistry which includes the surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries and defects involving both the functional and esthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region"- American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Our Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. They practice a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise in pathology, wisdom tooth removal, facial trauma, bone grafting and dental implant procedures. Drs. Dwayne and Kevin Gross had a dream of opening a practice together. In 2006 this dream became a reality. The offices of Foothills Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery were established. This father and son duo could now practice together and apply their patient care, standards, and philosophies in a pleasant and safe environment. In August of 2006, Foothills Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery opened for patient care in Lenoir City and Athens. The Maryville office was under construction and opened its doors in December 2006. Foothills Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery was established to provide our community with personal and high quality comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgery care. Our mission is that patients have a positive dental care experience in which they receive empathy, respect, and appreciation by our team members. We want every aspect of your visit with us to be as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The surgical staff at Foothills Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants. All staff are informed administrative personnel, well versed in health and insurance policies, and are CPR certified. FOMS prides itself on having a highly trained and motivated staff that is eager to provide our patients with exceptional care and the highest quality of customer service.

Dr Daniel Read at TN Valley Oral Surgery in Lenoir City, TN is awesome.! This is the second time Iv'e had surgery with him.He is a true professional and clearly his experience through working with patients over the years shows . He is a kind compassionate person . He's soft spoken and answers any questions you may have. He also shares his knowledge with you regarding your overall general dental health. His staff is very helpful and kind as well. I feel completely comfortable that I'm in good hands. And everyone should know when choosing a good oral surgeon Dr Read would be the best decision you could ever make. If you live in Knoxville take the few extra minute drive on down to Lenoir City. You will be glad you did!
Absolutely wonderful. Clean cool but not cold waiting area with free bottles of water and coffee. Decent reading material. Front desk friendly and helpful. Not a long wait. In the back everything is bright and clean. Clearly newest technology. Rooms are comfortable and private. Staff informative and friendly. Dr. Jones friendly and knowledgeable. Answered all my questions and explained everything to me so I could understand. Staff doesn't pressure you and are willing to work with you. I'm going back for sure!
Everyone is super nice, they make sure you’re comfortable and feel okay before doing any kind of work. Dr. Read is amazing, very professional, answered all the questions I had and made sure I was okay throughout the procedure. He’s honest and does great work fast. Definitely recommend going here, especially if you’re terrified of getting any kind of dental work done. Also these other reviews about getting treated bad because you have tenncare are ridiculous. I have tenncare and was treated wonderfully. No one there was rude or made any rude comments. The staff and drs. are fantastic. I can’t compliment this place and the people enough.
I had a tooth extraction and this was my first and only time there. I was blown away with the care I received. Dr. Read is the most knowledgeable and professional dentist that I have ever met. My extraction was painless and no effects. All my expectations were met and exceeded.
This place was an absolute godsend to me. I had a tooth that broke the previous night, I called them first thing this morning and they were able to see me and extract the tooth! The ladies in the office were very nice and the dentist was very helpful and offered me some suggestions. I will definitely be a return customer.
