Powered by GoogleHad the BEST experience with Four Corners Dental Group! The staff, Jeanette especially, were extraordinarily kind and great at their jobs. Dr Dawson was very knowledgeable without being intimidating and did an awesome and painless (after the numbing shots) job removing my problem tooth. I love that they present you with all the facts and options and let you decide what's best for you without any pressure. I'll recommend them to everyone looking for a dentist! 💗
I go to this dentist because of "that rude receptionist" Jeanette. She is straight forward and honest to a fault. I have had 8 crowns done here after flying south for dental care, to avoid other Alaskan dentists (I'm a 5th gen. Alaskan) and finally found someone I can trust. It is Jeanette... and the dentist is pretty good too.
In Short: Terrible environment and culture. The Dentist treats his assistants and front office staff poorly. Only looking to make money. Recommending unnecessary dental procedures and not concerned for what's best for the patient. I've heard so many horror stories about this place now that I've shared my story with others, and come to find out their experiences were just as bad. As I was sitting in the lobby, I heard the dentist shouting about how the clinic wasn't making any money that day because there were no patients in the chair. I immediately knew I would be encouraged to accept a dental procedure I didn't need. Sure enough I was - which would have been incredibly painful, multiple office visits, and weeks of healing time. I felt bullied into trying to make a decision. When I pushed back and said I wanted to do my research as this was the first I'd heard any of this, he said it was fine, but it would remain in my chart. He went on to continue explaining why I needed it - that my gums would recede, I would lose my teeth, etc. Upon second opinion, I was told it was not necessitated and I wasn't going to "lose my teeth." In the dentist's recommendation, he was adamant that the procedure was "qualified" because of x,y,z and insurance would pay for it. Looking back on this - he kept referring to what I was "qualified" for, not necessarily what was best for me as a patient and a person. Ask questions. do your research. Go off of word of mouth, and DO NOT accept any dental procedures you are unfamiliar with or if you feel bullied or 'strongly encouraged' into accepting.
Had an extraction done by Dr.Dawson today and he was very kind and compassionate. The dental assistant was very sweet. It was a few years since I first started going here,...Glad I came back . I really appreciate their kindness. Jeannette is awesome too.
Making it short, an extremely rude receptionist, name was Jeanette, or something like that. Phoned to cancel and reschedule an appointment due to husband's flu. Rude and snarky, she refused to make new appointment accusing him of numerous cancelations. Repeatedly called me a liar when I told her he had seen this dentist only once to have a tooth extraction a week or so prior, and had never canceled any appointments. After she hung up on me we obtained a new dentist. Can certainly understand why office is empty of patients. If I could give a zero rating, I would.
