My experience with Great Plains General Surgery has been excellent. Everyone involved has been very kind and encouraging. Dr. Wiesen did my gastric sleeve surgery on 9/25/2025 he did an amazing job it went perfectly with no complications and only minimal pain. I'm truly happy with my decision. Dr. Wiesen and the entire care team made the process simple and very rewarding.
I brought my 3 year old daughter to the emergency room for what I believed to be appendicitis and from the moment Dr. Weisen walked in the room we felt safe, confident, and most importantly listened to. He was not only kind to my husband and I, but also to my daughter. I could not have felt safer sending by baby back for surgery with him and Jesse, CRNA. 10/10 experience from the ER to the follow up. Dr. Weisen and his P.A and nurses were so kind at the office and genuinely excited to see a kiddo! Thank you so much Dr. Weisen, Jesse, and all the doctors and nurses who made us feel so safe and like my daughter was the most important person in the room.
What an amazing job everyone did. It felt more like a spa day. You could feel the love….. and caring from each and everyone who was helping me… may God bless each and everyone who took care of me…thanks a million……sincerely Penny.
It’s great to know that there is a place that a person can go to have surgery without having to go to a large city and be able to have close personal feeling when you come here. Dr Wiesen is amazing. Thanks for the secure feeling you gave me.
Dr.Jennifer Schneider and her staff were amazing. They showed us respect and compassion.She truly cared about my well being. She talk to me and my husband like we mattered. When I went in for my follow up she showed true compassion for my health. She was so happy that I was doing so much better. Dr.Schneider is a very great Dr and a person. She talked to my husband not just about me but about his rare family health issues FAP. She gave me a hug before we left and it was a true hug of compassion. She let us know she is ogallala Nebraska every third Tuesday just so I can be at ease if I have any more issues with my health. I would tell anyone to go see her.
