Recently, I had my first appointment with Happy Valley Dentistry and Dr. Emerson. While dental visits aren’t typically a preferred activity for many individuals, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional experience I had. The staff members were very friendly, helpful, and thorough in their approach. Dr. Emerson spent a good amount of time with me discussing my dental condition and developing a treatment plan. He provided comprehensive answers to all my questions, and throughout the appointment I never felt rushed, as Dr. Emerson ensured that I received the necessary attention. This experience stands out as one of the most positive I have encountered during any medical appointment. It would be a much nicer world if there are more medical professionals like Dr. Emerson and his dedicated staff. They transform potentially uncomfortable situations into positive experiences.
I've gone to the practice since I was a child. Dr. Emerson is kind and caring as well as gentle and very understanding. I had Lisa clean my teeth. It was my first time with her and she was thoughtful and gentle. When she was finished she wiped my mouth and made sure there was no toothpaste. I thought that was the most thoughtful touch to her service. This group is fantastic.
Happy Valley Dentistry Always does an amazing job! Dr. Emerson came through for me October 2025 when my 1.5 year old lab puppy knocked my front tooth out doing wheelies on our bed. It was a Friday night at 4pm, called the emergency number & Dr. Emerson called me right back & said meet him at the office right away. 5.5 hours later he had evaluated, decided to rebuild my tooth up, and do a temporary crown. I am incredibly grateful to the dedication & patience of both Dr. Emerson & Dr. Schimmel and their team! Thank you again so much, I recommend your office to anyone!
I had a chipped tooth and couldn’t find anywhere else to go around state college. Im from New York. However, Happy Valley Dentistry took me in on a 2 day notice. There services was amazing and they were super careful and gentle in their procedure. Wonderful people who work there. Highly recommend their office.
I've been coming here for over a decade and I don't plan on going elsewhere. I have dental anxiety, but the hygienists are always very patient, understanding and gentle when cleaning, and they keep me informed throughout the visit. I'm happy to report that Dr. Schimmel left his practice in good hands with Dr. Emerson. He's friendly, energetic, and very kind. If you're looking for a new dentist or are thinking of switching, definitely give these guys a call.
