I have been with Havasu Dental Center for 8 years now. Dr. Shamus and his excellent staff is who I would and always do recommend to anyone who asks me where to go for dental work. They are the best available in this town and I highly recommend them as well. Rob Nelson

Dr.Shamos and his staff were amazing ! I broke a tooth while on vacation and they worked me in to their schedule the same day I called. I needed a crown and it was the least painful experience I have had at the dentist . I highly recommend Havasu Dental and Dr.Shamos and will be back to see them again Follow up appt to place my permanent crown went beautifully too . In and out in about 20 minutes! Everyone there is very nice and i scheduled my next appt for cleaning when i return to havasu in a couple months

I have been a customer of theirs since I was about 10, I am a full grown adult now. So I feel I have enough experience with this place to leave this kind of review. I have never met anyone who has made me feel so bad about my own body the way these people do. The ladies at the front desk are always the best: they’re friendly, happy (99% of the time, we all have bad days), and helpful in every way they can possibly be. The assistants are a coin flip and by that I mean I’ve only had 2 that didn’t make me cry in the parking lot. Don’t think “oh you’re probably the problem then” because I truly have tried to not be. For years I thought it was me but I sincerely don’t think I am. My previous visit the assistant blamed me for not being able to get a good enough impression for the mold of my tooth. Claiming “you’re biting the edge so I don’t know what you want me to do.” I didn’t want to contribute to this persons bad day so I asked “well what can I do differently so I don’t bite that when you put it in?” Note that they were the one putting the device in my numbed mouth and saying ‘bite down’ I wasn’t maneuvering my jaw to cause any annoyances I was simply biting down. She didn’t respond and just walked away in frustration. This is one of a million instances where I left feeling bad about my experience and myself and dreading returning. Even now I have to make an appointment and I am absolutely loathing it knowing I’d have another experience similar to my previous one where I was yelled at by the assistant for taking too long to save up money to get the work I needed done (like we all just have hundreds laying around waiting to be spent?). The dentist is fine. He’s professional and I can tell he’s really really sweet but everytime I interact with him it’s after I’ve already talked to his assistant and by then I just feel awful for wasting his time cause his assistants have instilled this feeling in me that I just shouldn’t have come back and honestly after I get this last bit of work done I probably won’t. The anxiety I have around dentists isn’t because of the work they do nor did I have this anxiety at 10 years old or before but around 13 after 3 years of this I ended up fighting tooth (pun intended) and nail to not come back. The only reason I have is because I’ve never switched dentists before so I don’t know all the paperwork I will need but at this point I need work and I need to not feel guilty about doing business with the person doing it.

Thank you Dr. Shamos for your greatly needed help. I was suffering from a broken infected tooth and I was concerned not only of not being able to get a timely appointment but also about what Dentist to use. After researching local Dental offices, I called Havasu Dental Center and Dr. Shamos was able to take me in the same day and was very caring, sensitive and professional. I highly recommend Havasu Dental Center and Dr. Shamos for your dental needs. Thank you again, Dr, Shamos for the great care you provided.

How does a person rate a visit to the Dentist? Mine was Excellent. I’m 71 years old and know I need treatment. I went through a total exam and Dr Shamos showed me pictures of what my teeth looked like and explained exactly how he was going to help save what I was told that needed to be pulled by my previous dentist. My New Best Friend! The staff was amazing and made me feel comfortable throughout the visit. I Highly recommend Havasu Dental!
