Patient Reviews
Powered by GoogleDental assistant was remarkable. Very patient informative and efficient. The dentist (?) not so much. I came with a toothache needing antibiotics before extraction. Chose this group because of the advertising for no judgment and patience for dental cowards. Wrong choice …. Don’t believe everything you read. This dentist approach my visit like a USED CAR SALESMAN. Spent most time trying to sell me on a plan to save my remaining teeth. A estimate of 15,000. 00 which included my insurance coverage. After the initial shock wore off I called to just schedule the simple extraction of the broken tooth. Was told he would not do this without sedation and he would have to remove 3 teeth not one. Still more of the sells tactic. At this point I am still waiting for the release of my x-rays I paid for ($300.00) on the initial visit. He had less than a minute with an actual exam in my mouth and wrote one prescription …. I feel completely scammed by his groups advertising and his chair side manner. If you have dental fear … don’t go here. If you have limited insurance and finances - don’t go here. Save yourself the trauma. Still a broken tooth and searching for another REAL dentist without the sales tactics.
Everyone in the office is super nice and helpful! I have to give a huge shout out to Lauren, she’s the absolute best and sweetest person you will meet! I’ve been going to this office since 2019 and no matter what obstacles come, whether it’s insurance or third party, the whole office wants to ensure that you’re taking care of!! And they will do anything for that to happen! I am super grateful to be a patient here!
I had a very difficult experience at this office that I feel is important to share thoughtfully. I was under the care of Dr. Ashan Iqbal. While I understand that dental procedures can be uncomfortable, I experienced significant pain and emotional distress during my visit that I did not feel was adequately acknowledged or addressed. I communicated discomfort, but the procedure continued in a way that left me feeling unheard and unsafe rather than supported. What stood out most was not the complexity of the dental work itself, but the lack of trauma-informed care and reassurance during a moment when I was clearly struggling. Patient comfort, consent, and emotional safety matter just as much as technical skill, and in my experience, that balance was missing from Dr. Iqbal. I am sharing this in hopes that Heck Family Dental reflects on how patient distress is handled and considers additional training or protocols to ensure patients feel genuinely heard and supported during procedures. I couldn’t bring myself to give one star simply because of every other staff member I encountered during my visit. My hygienist, Jessie, Hunter at the front office, and Dr.Diaz were very kind and supportive. I left the office feeling confused, shamed, embarrassed, and in extreme plain. My hope is that this feedback will help improve care for future patients.
Absolutely the worst experience. My wife had extractions and a upper denture made. The day she left her denture made her look like she was wendy lue who from who ville. The dental tech kept saying this is the best one I've done. I said to the dental tech this doesn't look right. She said oh it's just the swelling. The next few days we went back in and demanded they do something about her appearance. Thy did but the fact they thought it was normal and a good job speaks louder then anything. It has been 2 years now and a total of 2 teeth have fallen off of the denture and the amount we have to pay to have there mistake be fixed is outrageous. The whole cost out of our pocket was $7,775. For that amount I expect the teeth to stay in the denture not fall out and have to pay $500 more dollars every time one falls out. I would not recommend this practice to anyone
A truly great place to go. Everyone—from the front desk staff to the doctors—is consistently pleasant, caring, and professional. And trust me, I’m not what you’d call an easy patient, especially since I hate going to the dentist. I had an urgent situation come up Monday night and they got me in first thing the very next morning. Dr. Iqbal was awesome as always, and his assistants, McKenzie and Sherry, were absolutely amazing. They made a stressful situation much easier to handle. I would 100% recommend Heck Family Dentistry and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dental care. A huge thank you to the entire office!
