I cannot say enough positive thoughts about Dr. Matsuda and his assistant. They both made me feel comfortable discussing the direction I would be going with a plan for my teeth. The other women behind the front desk were helpful and kind. I felt I was in great hands in this practice. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for implants and periodontics.
Dr. Matsuda is an unbelievably talented and wonderful person. Where others told me my implant could not be done and I needed a bridge, he reassured me and got the procedure done all while calming any anxiety or worry that I had. I now have a smile I'm proud of for the first time in my life with an implant that could not have been placed better and it is all thanks to Dr. Matsuda.

I had an implant revision surgery done here for a previous implant that was placed years ago. One year later, my general dentist was concerned about the implant area because of the mm depth readings. I returned to Hillsboro periodontics and they recommended doing another surgery. This plan involved cutting open the gum again, reshaping the crown, and shaping the bone on adjacent gum line. I got a second opinion because this is the second invasive surgery and I wasn’t having issues with the implant. I am glad that I did because the second periodontist said the implant is fine, no surgery needed. I also changed my general dentist to one who is more familiar with dental implants because a high mm depth reading is not the same for an implant as for a real tooth. Typically, this indicates inflammation in a healthy tooth but this can also be the bone and tissue structure for an implant site. Hope this helps other people with a dental implant. Hillsboro periodontics provided good customer service but I would get a second opinion if the treatment plan doesn’t make sense to you.
Absolutely amazing clinic. I had to go in for some deep cleaning and some surgery on my gums. They took a lot of time explaining what to expect during the procedures and provided thorough aftercare instruction. Dr. Matsuda and his team did a great job and my healing time was minimal as a direct result of their care and professionalism. I highly recommend their services!
