Thank you Hintz Oakley for taking me as a new patient. Dr. Scott was AMAZING!!! First dentist I've seen since starting my denture journey that took the time to thoroughly explain things to me and my oral anatomy. She certainly didn't push implants in any way. She was also very detailed in her examination. She answered all my questions and set my mind at rest. Best chairside manner I've experienced so far. Hintz Oakley are lucky to have her a part of their dental family. Her assistant was wonderful as well. Thank you! Look forward to getting to know all. Couldn't have asked for more on my very first visit.
This is the second time I had a dental emergency and my dentist I saw for the last 15 years would not work me in. The very kind staff and Hintz and Oakley came through for me again.,As soon as I called this morning they gave me an appointment this afternoon at 2:00 with Dr Scott. She is the best… so sweet, kind and took care of my problem very quickly. I would like her to be my dentist from now on. She’s calm and makes you feel very comfortable emotionally. Her assistant Kristen is very sweet and very capable. Kristen really knows her job She is so thorough and also makes you feel comfortable.. I am so blessed to have met them both today!
I like this dentist fine usually have good experiences but recently have had many issues with them. I had a root canal I had done elsewhere go out the backside and have an infection and cyst due to it. I struggled for months to get an appointment with the correct person to make the right things my surgeon want done before I have my surgery due to it being a front tooth being removed and eventually a implant being placed. I finally get an appointment and get the mold made and make an appointment for today to get it fitted. Well I get to my appointment early and they let me sit there for more than 30 minutes to then tell me they don’t have it and it’s not for a fitting it’s just for me to pick it up. And I could come back the next day at the Baxter office again which is almost a 30 minutes drive for me or I can go get it at the Cookeville office. So I proceed to get it at the Cookeville office and am handed a ziplock bag with my retainer still dirty on the mold with zero instructions or explanations
Dr Scott a young black woman in Cookeville pulled my tooth. Never had a woman dentist and was wondering if she had the strength to pull my back molar. She numbed me up and I noticed that my mouth wasn't feeling really numb but when she tested the tooth I didn't feel anything. She started slowly working the tooth to get it loose. Seemed like she was taking longer than other dentists that pulled my wisdom teeth. She was taking her time, not in a rush and making sure I was comfortable. Anyway she got the tooth out in one piece and I didn't feel any pain what so ever. The numbness went away in only a couple hours instead of all day and the bleeding was minimal. I am very happy with the result as having tooth pulled can be a very unpleasant experience. I highly recommend Dr Scott.
Brittany and Gracie at the Baxter office has changed my whole outlook on coming to the dentist! I have a very small mouth, some receding gum lines, and very sensitive teeth. They took their time, explained to me each and every step, and made sure that I felt OK throughout the entire process. I’ve always put off going to the dentist and I cry the whole time I am in there but they make you so ease which now makes me excited to go. The whole office is very clean and professional and all the staff members are very nice. Dr. Hintz is very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable in his line of work.
