Oh my gosh, not enough space to say how wonderful Dr Rothchild Holistic dentist in Durango is… Phenomenal staff that takes care of every single detail and gives you incredible explanation. Had the screening for sleep apnea. Very concise and completely non-invasive and easy.! Highly recommend. Dr Orlik Took his time made sure I understood everything he was saying. Allowed me to video the results and be able to listen to everything he told me. Very appreciative because it’s a lot of information The office is terrific! This is totally worth checking into and also having an in clinic sleep study, So that you have the most information to be able to figure out how you want to approach The best result for yourself! Cannot say enough about this Office. I’ve been going to them for probably 12 years. Every staff member is just delightful and very, very knowledgeable!
Caterina is so knowledgeable about her profession and better still is her kindness to her patients. She makes something that is hard for me into something doable. Very grateful. The lagniappes are fun - chapstick, warm washcloth and a new toothbrush! Office staff nice. It’s a great dental practice.
Having concerns, I decided to go to a holistic dentist. I was very impressed with the quality of time they spent checking my teeth, jaw and sinuses, and also the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend going to Dr Orlick, he and his staff are wonderful.
Zero stars. I strongly recommend against visiting Dr. Rothchild, if you value compassionate, respectful care and are sensitive in any way. After multiple bad experiences with other dentists in Durango, I chose Dr. Rothchild in 2024 despite his prices being double of most local practices, expecting skilled and gentle holistic care. I did not have a great experience with him for my first visit, but it was not anywhere near as horrible as my second. This was the worst dental experience I’ve ever had in my life. I have since talked to 3 friends that have had terrible experiences with him and will never go back. It is unfortunate most do not feel comfortable writing honest reviews of doctors or staff when they have bad experiences, and all the positive reviews may make it seem like a one-off when it may not be. On 7/30 I arrived for my yearly exam anxious and nervous and left feeling humiliated, degraded and traumatized. Dr Rothchild arrogantly told me everything wrong with my teeth and attributed it all to clenching. When I expressed the difficulties I’ve had wearing a night guard due to my highly sensitive system, he criticized my custom lab-made ‘internet night guard’ without even looking at it. I explained I could not spend $800 on his, when I likely could not wear it. I asked about alternative solutions for sensitive people like me, and he gave a few and then offered his “final option”: “We can take you out to the cornfield and shoot you.” I was in total shock and deeply disturbed by this inappropriate and violent comment. I should’ve walked out at this point. Anyone that considers this funny should not be in healthcare. This behavior is unacceptable from any healthcare professional, much less one that sells himself as holistic. I left feeling extremely unsafe and violated. A week later I shared my experience with his assistant and received an apology, but never had any follow up from Dr. R. This shows a complete lack of integrity and unwillingness to acknowledge his harmful and inappropriate behavior. I also did not receive the CBCT scans I requested twice. I am sharing this review in the sincere hope that no other patient experiences similar mistreatment.
I receive 5 star service at Holistic Dentistry Durango. I get to know the staff and we laugh together. I love the caring atmosphere they project!
