I had a really awesome experience at this facility. I unexpectedly needed to get a gum graft due to aggressive brushing. The staff were very kind and patient and the end result looks as though I never had an issue to begin with. The graft is so smooth and seamless that it looks like my original gum tissue before I Inflicted trauma on it. The only thing I did not care for was the discomfort after having my procedure. I apparently have a very low pain tolerance when it comes to pain in my mouth. But I guess after having surgery on your mouth, pain is to be expected. Thank you, Dr. Katseanes and the staff at Idaho Perio for your kind and expert care.
I visited Idaho Perio Meridian after seeing their positive reviews and knowing that I likely needed another gum graft. I had an FGG at a different clinic back in 2019, which, unbeknownst to me was an older way of repairing gum tissue. It was incredibly painful for weeks on end. After getting a consult done here I was indeed a candidate for another graft, but I was told that due to the new technology of grafting by going underneath the gums it would be significantly less painful this go around. They were absolutely right. The graft was a breeze and I had very minimal pain during recovery. It healed perfectly and I no longer have any sensitivity! You can’t even tell that I had a graft done, whereas my older graft still shows an obvious blotchy color difference. I was also given the option to use a donor graft, which I would HIGHLY recommend having had the graft done with my own tissue previously. I was thankful to be a patient at a clinic with updated surgical methods and will absolutely return for any future concerns.
I had Gum Graft Surgery here to fix a receding gum line. It's a procedure that sounds scary and can be. The actual process takes about an hour in the hot seat. Then there's a lot of aftercare for a few weeks. It was well worth the results. The doctor and assistants all did a fantastic job! This is a great establishment to have dental work done.
The doctor and staff are wonderful. Their attention to the little details adds to the experience. They worked really hard to insure your comfort.
Meeting the caring, thorough and intelligent employees and MD (Dr. Katseanes) taking care of me at Idaho Perio put my anxieties at ease. After and through my experience with them I felt/feel that I could completely trust them with my care, plan for reconstructing my mouth, technical abilities to do so, and feel validated by their ability to address my questions/concerns and needs. Their team made one of the worst experiences of my life, into one of the best. Mouth surgery is no joke and is scary, yet all of that melts away with them as they understand that, meet you where you are, address your needs, and perform the absolute best that anyone can in this specialty. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone from someone with extremely complicated mouth trauma, like I had, (from an e-scooter or otherwise) or a more simple case of an implant or two. They’re amazing and compassionate and deserve your trust.
