Overall, I truly appreciate the clinical care I received here. Dr. Cowan is excellent and performed two textbook-level procedures on me in one day — removal of my upper and lower right wisdom teeth along with a sinus lift on the same side. Both surgeries were successful, and for that I am very grateful. The surgical outcome and his skill deserve recognition. The office also has very minimal wait times. Each time I’ve visited, I’ve been in the waiting room less than 10 minutes, often with only one other patient present. That efficiency is something I really value. Where the office falls short is communication and accessibility. I have called numerous times and received no answer, which has forced me to contact another Dental Implant Center location just to be transferred. I’m not sure why phone responsiveness is such an issue, but it’s frustrating when you’re a surgical patient who may have post-op questions, or simply a new patient calling to set their first appointment. Additionally, during my three-hour procedure, much of the team assisting spoke primarily Spanish to one another while working on me. I am bilingual and not opposed to any language being spoken; however, in a medical setting, I prefer communication around me to be in a language I fully understand — especially during surgery. Since the team is fluent in English, I believe it would have been more considerate to either default to English or simply ask the patient their preference. Dr. Cowan’s surgical skill is outstanding, but improvements in front-office communication and patient-awareness during procedures would make the overall experience much stronger.
