I would follow hygienist Robin S. Melnick anywhere she goes. Robin is thorough, gentle with her hands and very pleasant to visit. Each time I left there with a big smile on my face and never missed. Front desk Cynthia is the finest to work with. She’s supper friendly, extremely patient and has a great smile. Sadly, I had quite stiff visits with the doctors in this office. They stuck you with gum check up unannounced that you don’t need just to bill you extra money. This gum checks were unnecessary because I have another general dentist that this office required me to have in ordered for me to continue seeing hygienist Robin. Two extra charges from Doctor Barth from his unannounced visits were dishonest and unprofessional. On top of that he was not my surgeon. Doctor Puterman’s gum surgery was so painful for days after because he sent you home without gum guards and tiny cold pads that did not work. On top of that, there was no following up on how patients doing after. I told him how much pain I had on my recheck-up visit and how long it was. He did say that I should have reached out to him. Though, I did ask his assistant about the pain relief gum guard, they said they don’t do that on Dr. Puterman’s patients. The unpleasant surgery experience is still staying with me to today. I had had other gum surgeries with Dr. Levine, their former partner that was super gentle, caring, kind and friendly, whom would always keep up with my surgery for days after. Sadly, he now retired. Please adopt doctor’s Levine’s pain relieve of gum guard after surgery if you can as I also have had a few friends that went to doctor Puterman and they also complained about his after care for pain is lacking. I definitely give Robin and Cynthia five stars, but sadly not for the doctors in this office. When you had the best, it is quite hard to settle for the rest.

My experience with Dr. Puterman began a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away—before Covid was a word, let alone a plague. After consulting with a number of specialists, the consensus was clear. Dr. Puterman is the best at what he does in the DMV—and my particular case (don't ask) required the best. I confess, I was skeptical. But a little more than a half a decade (and several surgeries later (don't ask), I have a functional mouth again. Not only teeth that work but teeth that look great. Best of all, the pain that tormented me for decades is gone. GONE. Obliterated. Throughout this ordeal, Dr. Puterman stuck by me. And I by him and his extraordinary staff and colleagues. Dr. Puterman was always honest. Always fair. Always honorable. Always kind. And always decent. This is not what I would have expected given the intrinsic challenges of my case and the fickle nature of human biology that doesn't always cooperate with titanium and bone grafts. And yet—here I am—finally some five plus years later. Grateful beyond words for my experience with Dr. Puterman. Don't get me wrong. I won't miss being in his chair for scores of additional hours. I'm a grateful patient. And what makes me especially grateful is that we made it—together. If you desire the best that modern dentistry has to offer, there is no one better—more capable, skillful, and honorable. I could not recommend anyone more highly. Puterman is the best.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Barth. His office scheduled me for the very next day. Dr. Barth took care of the problem. Very kind, thorough and professional. I will return to Dr. Barth for future periodontal needs and would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.
