I was referred to this office for wisdom tooth removal and had a deeply disappointing experience. During my consultation, I provided my insurance information and specifically asked the staff to obtain a pre-authorization from my insurer outlining all costs before I agreed to schedule. I was told my out-of-pocket cost would be $250, so I proceeded based on that assurance. After the surgery was completed, I unexpectedly received an additional bill for about $300. When I called to ask why, the employee I spoke with was abrupt and unprofessional. Instead of helping clarify the charge, she pointed to fine print in a signed form and immediately threatened to send me to collections within 10 days if I didn did not pay. I ultimately paid the collections bill to protect my credit, but the situation could have been avoided with honest communication. When I called again, the office manager admitted they never actually pursued the pre-authorization I had requested. I was then told their standard practice is to estimate or “guesstimate” costs based on prior experience with insurers rather than confirm coverage in advance. That approach is not transparent and directly contradicts what I was told before scheduling. Although the manager apologized and accepted responsibility, the office refused to refund my payment after checking with corporate. I also developed a post-surgical complication. Because of this office’s limited hours, I had to return to my original dentist for care. My dentist found broken tooth fragments pushing through my gums that had been missed during surgery, requiring additional treatment. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to seek resolution. Even after the office manager had taken blame, the practice actively battled the BBB report. Only after the case was closed did they finally acknowledge their error. That resistance to accountability was extremely frustrating. I chose this office solely because I was given clear cost information that turned out to be only an estimate rather than the verified authorization I requested. Accurate communication about billing is essential in healthcare, and that responsibility rests with the provider. Based on misleading pricing, inadequate follow-up care, and poor accountability, I cannot recommend this practice.

I had surgery this morning getting all four of my wisdom teeth out and i couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Reading some of the reviews i was a bit skeptical, but all went well! The dental assistant was a very sweet lady and consistently tried to make me feel better and calm my nerves. Then about eight hours after the procedure the oral surgeon called to make sure I was okay and if I had any questions, which is greatly appreciated! The staff was all kind. I would for sure recommend this place! Thank you all again for making a scary experience not so scary :)

Never had good teeth even though I believed I was taking care of them properly. I found myself with just two upper molars, one of which was infected, and knew something needed to be done if I ever wanted to eat again. After a lot of research, I came across Indianapolis Oral Surgery and Implant Center and made an appointment. During my initial appointment and after a full mouth x-ray, Dr. Falender reviewed various strategies with me. Based on that consult, I agreed to a course of action that meant the removal of all my upper teeth and then fitted with a denture which my referring dentist took care of. The surgery went without incident as I was sedated and remembered very little. Before I knew it, I was back home to deal with the normal pain that followed. Now, more than a week later, most has healed over. I really can't say enough about Dr. Falender and his team. Great communication and hands on care.

My experience here was absolutely terrible. I was referred to Indianapolis oral surgery & dental implants because I had an exposed piece of bone on the lower right side of my mouth. He recommended that I have surgery and smooth the bone out and get a biopsy done because I had an ulcer in that area that wouldn’t heal. I agreed and had the surgery but then he said let’s wait two weeks on the biopsy and if it doesn’t heal properly then we will do the biopsy. Once again I agreed. Well about a week and a half after the surgery I began having extreme pain in the area I had the surgery and the area wasn’t healing at all. It actually looked worse than it did prior to the surgery. I go to my two week follow up appointment and explain that I’m in terrible pain and that I would like to have the biopsy done. He said no let’s wait two more weeks and see how it heals. I explained I can’t wait two weeks because the pain is terrible and id like to have the biopsy done now because I’d like to know what is going on because clearly there is something wrong with that area because it’s not healing and the pain keeps getting worse. Then he says well how about I give some pain medicine. I said no I don’t want any pain medicine I want to figure out what the problem is because pain medicine isn’t going to fix the issue. The biopsy will tell us what we need to know so we can can fix the problem. He said well I want to wait two more weeks. He said you can get a second opinion if you’d like. I said I will do that. Which I already had scheduled for later that day and thank god I did because when I went to my new oral surgeon he said you have a root tip that needs taken out and an infection in the bone in that area. I’m scheduled to have the issue taken care of tomorrow. So before you make an appointment with this doctor make sure you do your homework because he’s very dismissive and disrespectful and so is his staff. They will downplay your pain and try to push pain meds on you instead of addressing the real issue! But if all you want is pain meds he’s your man! But if your in true pain and come back because you are still in pain and want to know why good luck because he will not look into the problem whatsoever. Once he’s billed your insurance and got his fee you’re on your own! He told me I have been doing this for 30 years I know what I’m doing. Well apparently not seeing as you missed the root tip and the bone infection. I read on his website that their office received a complaint free award in 2024 from the better business bureau. Well that streak is not going to continue into the year 2025. That’ll be the first thing I do tomorrow is notify them of his negligence. Good luck everyone you’re going to need it!

Dr. Falender‘s skills and knowledge are just outstanding. And his staff is very friendly and helpful. I received several implants over the years and just recently had all teeth extracted and then 6 implants added. Both were major surgeries but everything went as smooth as it could be. Dr. Falender followed up with phone calls to ensure I was ok. As every time, I was in the best hands! Various friends of mine had received similar treatments elsewhere and had complications afterwards. Dr. Falender definitely is the best!
