Powered by GoogleThis is a Great dental practice! I travel from Kennebunk to Portland to see Dr Lukis (and there are plenty of dental practices close to me!) I’ve been with this dental practice since the late 90s when Dr Cooney was the dentist (he was also great) and I stayed with the practice through when Dr. Lukis finally took over (thankfully). I love the staff, especially Janessa (his main assistant), Monica (hygienist) and Dr. Lukis. He’s fun, personable and honest. The facility is newly renovated and is top notch!
I have been coming for three years now and still very pleased. All of the workers are kind and friendly. The gentleman who did my teeth today I had never had him before and he was good. One suggestion I would make to him is that he doesn’t have to say, “excuse me” Every time he goes into my mouth. I also refused x-rays and he asked me three times. Two Times after I had signed the paper consenting that I did not want x-rays or an exam done today. I give it five stars because overall I am pleased and feel that I have clean teeth.
Everyone is always so nice at Inspire Dental. It was a short and sweet experience. I had something done today that I was afraid to have done. Between the dentist and his assistant, they made easy and painless.. I highly recommend Inspire Dental!
All of the staff were kind, professional and very courteous. My mother met with the denturist to discuss options for replacing her older dentures. Chris was extremely easy to work with and communicated very well with my mother and me.
This is not a safe environment, if you’re queer or a person of color. I had several fillings done by Dr. Chris recently, and I was repeatedly made to feel uncomfortable and unsafe. At the start of my first appointment, he asked me, aggressively, what I did for work. When I said I was interested in truck driving, he insisted it was pointless because AI would take all those jobs soon—and argued with me when I disagreed. This kind of bizarre attitude continued throughout many appointments. One notable moment was when he commented to his assistant, “I used to be really bad at this.” while working on my teeth. At one appointment, I experienced pain after some fillings he had done, and he took an X-ray to check the issue. I was told I would not have to pay for this. A week later, I was called with a bill for said X-ray, which felt misleading and unprofessional. At my last appointment, I was taken to a private office at the back of the building—strange, since the open treatment area where all my previous appointments took place was completely empty. He closed the door aggressively behind him, repeatedly cut me off while explaining treatment, and even put his finger in my face while saying, “Wait, I’m not done.” As I was trying to leave, he suddenly asked, “Why don’t you like me?” I was shocked—this is an adult, a doctor, behaving in a way that felt controlling and intimidating. I called to complain and was told he was “only joking” and that I “probably just didn’t understand.” This behavior is unprofessional, aggressive, and frankly pathetic for someone in his position.
