Everyone was great at La Jolla Dental Group. Dr. Hoa Dao was great and made sure I was comfortable and told me what was going on the whole time. The receptionists were great at getting me an appointment in a timely manner. I definitely recommend La Jolla Dental Group, 10/10
One employee destroyed the overall experience. She was unprofessional more than once, she tried to degrade me by calling me a “soft flower” when she caused me pain trying to insert a device into my mouth (which cut my gums). She then said I need to “deal with it” when the dentist was doing an exam that cause discomfort. And I drew the line after that, I told her if she was going to try to keep purposely pissing me off she needed to get out of the room. I don’t understand why someone would purposely trigger a disabled veteran, it was unprofessional to the point that I made a complaint before I left and asked for the office manager. He or she wasn’t available and I was told that they would reach out to me to discuss what happened; no one called or emailed, which is an indicator that her behavior is acceptable to the office. The lack of professionalism is reason enough to pass along to others that this is not an office you should go to. I plan on taking this issue to the VA so that they’re aware of how I was treated, and so that other veterans don’t go through what I went through.
While the office and treatment tools are dated, the facility clean and the staff is amazing! They’re super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend for the people aspect. If you want high-tech and flashy, this will probably not the place for you. Also, you must pay to park which can be a hassle.
LaJolla Dental Group is the best dental group in the San Diego area. Dr. Kajian-Faraji is fantastic! She is kind and thoughtful in her care and explanations of oral health. This group is comprehensive in any dental needs and I would recommend all of the doctors in this group. They are all extremely knowledgeable and skilled.
I’ve been coming to this dental office for many years, and the care has always been excellent. The staff are professional, kind, and make every visit comfortable. Highly recommend!
